Durham College of Applied arts and technology institute was established in the Durham region of Ontario, Canada. The college offers more than 140 programs in all its campuses. Most of the programs have an option of apprenticeship or includes Co-op facility. The main campuses of Durham are in Oshawa and Whitby. The Institute offers a wide range of full- time, online, certificate and diploma courses in fields such as media, art, general arts, justice, health, skilled trade, and engineering.

Campus Life

Durham College has more than 13,600 full-time post-secondary and apprenticeship students, including more than 2,000 international students from over 60 countries. Having a strength of approximately 800 full-time staff and faculty, it holds a capacity of 1,270 part-time staff and faculty as well. The College has an on-campus residence with a capacity of accommodating more than 1300 students. The residence consists of all the modern amenities required for any student. The Institute has an affiliation with Ontario Tech University. It shares a campus and many other facilities with Ontario Tech University. The college, in conjunction with Ontario Tech University, has developed network infrastructure to support laptop-based learning at both institutions. This includes the integration of wireless services on campus, as well as e-learning content and curriculum development. The college also supports sports activities as it has men’s and women’s teams in games like golf, rugby, baseball, volleyball, and many other games.

Durham College has a strength of more than 95,000 alumni. Few of them are Jeffrey S. Boyce, President and CEO of Sure Energy Inc; Tyler Boyco, a musician, filmmaker and Brandon Bird, CEO of Bird Mechanical Ltd.
