Great Plains College is a regional college established in 1973 in the magnificent city of Saskatchewan, Canada. Great Plains College is one of the best institutions in the Western part of the province to provide Post-secondary education. It has three campuses in Swift Current, Kindersley, and Warman. Program centers are also a part of this college, situated in Biggar, Rosetown, and Maple Creek. Great Plains College has a classification of Post-secondary Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Graduate Degree programs, Safety training, Adult Basic Education (ABE), and English language training in its education. Practical Nursing, Welding, Business, and Heavy equipment operations courses are highly rated in this college. Campus Life

For safety education on campus, Great Plains offers the only indoor fall protection and rig rescue tower in the province. The Six-week heavy equipment operator program on the campus allows students to learn through field projects and training on CAT simulators. Students can also find assistance in every aspect by the Students Association team. Students are involved in the Olympic torch relay, mock accidents to raise awareness, community tree plantings, chili cook-offs, ball hockey challenges, Halloween costume contests, the Relay for Life, scavenger hunts, fundraising auctions, campus luncheons, and bowling and pizza nights too. The athletic enthusiasts on Swift Current campus must attend one of a provinces’ athletic program known as the Great Plains Sundogs that compete in the Prairie Athletic Conference (PAC) and have won 3 provincial championships. Also, women’s and men’s volleyball teams are champions and inspire many students to indulge in extracurriculars. Overall, campus life at Great Plains is balanced between study, work, and play.
