One of the foremost institutes for applied arts and technology, Northern College spreads across Northern Ontario. The college offers more than 75 full-time and part-time certification, diploma, apprenticeship programs, web-based programs, post-secondary preparations and correspondence courses. The main campus at Timmins provides programs in various fields of Business and Office Administration, Community Services, Engineering Technology and Trades, Health Sciences and Emergency Services. The other 3 satellite campuses are home to modern Veterinary Science Centre, the School of Welding Engineering Technology and last but not the least Trade Centre at Moosonee Campus. Psychology, English language, applied health science, banking and finance, health administration are some of the popular programs amongst international students.

Northern College's main campus at Timmins is situated in Ontario, a city with great scenic beauty and diverse outdoor activities, a perfect combination of magnificent rural landscapes. The Innovation Hub showcases the college’s ongoing projects, business connectivity and allows students to work for the development of regional industries hence contributing to local economic growth. Integrated Emergency Services is the newest as well as most state-of-the-art facilities in Ontario! Haileybury and Timmins campuses offer full-service residence facilities for its students. Additionally,  Northern’s Learning Resource Centres are a focal point of coaching and guiding thus students have access to a vast collection of resources.

Northern College has been successful in nurturing students and guiding them in the right way to be a better version of themselves. One of the best examples of one such student is Emily, who had low self-esteem and was struggling through turmoils before she joined Northern. The journey at the college changed her view about almost everything and currently, she is a successful Registered Nurse.
