Rowan University is located in the town of Glassboro, New Jersey. Established in 1923, it was initially called Glassboro Teacher's School devised to train teachers. Today, Rowan offers more than 74 bachelor’s and 51 master’s degree programs, four doctorate programs and two professional programs. This university is one of only 56 institutions in the United States with accredited courses in business, education, engineering, and medicine. Through inclusiveness, agility and responsiveness, it provides diversified academic and creative educational experiences, approaches, environments and services to meet the needs of all students; making it a new model of higher education.

Campus Life

Rowan caters to the unmatched campus life! The main campus encompasses 12 dormitory buildings, distributed in green lawns and forest areas with streams and ponds. Amenities such as extensive sports fields, stadiums, running tracks, gyms, bookstores, planetarium and student centers promote the multidimensional growth of sophomores. The vibrant student community pursues achievement through participation in various programs and activities. Moreover, the key to Rowan's home-like atmosphere is the dozen student dormitories and apartments, including various dining options on and off-campus. Lastly, the 92,000-square-foot recreational center welcomes pupils throughout the year, providing recreational activities, intramural sports and fitness programs.
