Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) founded in 1916, is the first public funded technical institute of Canada. SAIT is located in Calgary, Alberta and is one of the profound members of the Polytechnics Canada. What makes SAIT different from other technical institute is its teaching tactics. Students here have the opportunities of hands-on learning in modern equipped laboratories. The courses designed are focused on finding the solution of modern problems by using latest technologies. Campus Life

SAIT provides all the necessary amenities required by the students to have an enormous experience on the campus. Apart from the main campus SAIT has three other off-sites namely Mayland Height Campus, SAIT Culinary Campus and Art Smith Aero Center. All of these campuses serves identical purpose that is the Mayland Height campus is mainly intended for the students interested in automation, recreation vehicle serving, plumbing etc. The culinary campus serves the student with basics of baking and cooking skills and the Art Smith Aero Center is open for the students who are enrolled in School of Transportation. The main campus encompasses all the academic facilities like Heritage Hall, Clayton Carroll Automotive Center, Aldred Center (Applied research and Innovation services), E.H Crandell Building, Johnson-Cobbe Energy Centre and many more. Not only academics, the SAIT also offers other facilities for sports and students health under the SAIT Trojans (Athletics) Main Office and the Wellness center respectively, located at the campus center. The institute has in house bookstores, cafeteria and dining halls. SAIT also provides an option for on-campus accommodation for the international students.
