Formerly known as Suffolk College, Suffolk New College is a higher education college located in Ipswich. The college is a multi-campus mixed general institute with the operating base situated in Ipswich. The Suffolk Rural (Otley College) and Suffolk New College on the Coast in Leiston (Alde Valley Sixth Form) is run by Suffolk New College. Originally founded in 2009 as the Suffolk College, The Suffolk New College was split in Suffolk New College which provided education and University Campus Suffolk dealing with higher education. Some of the available course in undergraduate and postgraduate education include Agriculture, Animal Care & Management, Nursing, Art and Design, Engineering, Business and Management. Some unique courses like Barbering, Arboriculture, Beauty and Therapy, Bench Joinery are also taught. More than 4500 students and 450 staff members are currently enrolled in the education courses. 

Campus Life

Offices incorporate a scope of facilities like study halls, workshops and other learning and backing spaces. A fancy eatery and a bread kitchen are controlled by understudies on cooking courses. The café, Shelley's, is available to general society. Workshops incorporate development, engine vehicle and electrical workshops. A new building was built in August 2009 which cost £70 million and consist of 22,000 square metre of four floors with all necessary facilities. Suffolk has a College Sports Centre with four badminton courts and a multi-purpose room.
