Established in 1595, the University of the West of England is a public research university in Bristol. The university is divided into four faculties which are then subdivided into departments. Some of them are faculty of arts, creative industries; faculty of business and law; environment and technology; health and applied sciences; and more. UWE Bristol has 88% student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2020, placing the institution 2nd in England. 79% of the research is considered to be world-leading or internationally excellent.  

Campus Life

The Glenside campus is home to the faculty of health and applied sciences. It has the department of allied health professions, applied sciences, nursing, and social sciences. The Gloucester campus offers programs in the department of nursing and midwifery. The Matthias Campus is home to various departments of the faculty of creative arts, humanities, and education. The new state-of-the-art facility called engineering building with teaching and research facilities has recently been made available. The Bristol Robotics Laboratory, the largest robotics laboratory in Europe was opened snd later was opened to students in UWE Bristol International College.
