Happies Nursery New Child Enrolment Form Listening Answers Practice Test

Section 1 - Happies Nursery IELTS Listening Answers

Here the Happies nursery listening answers which are given as an illustration for the IELTS Listening test. With two different types of questions as form completion and note completion. We have also attached the audio for the given topic. In this audio you'll hear a conversation between a man and the woman about the enrollment of the man’s child in the nursery.

Audio transcript- Happies nursery

Woman: Good morning my name is Laura, welcome to Happy's Nursery how can I
help you today.  
Man: Good morning my wife and I were hoping that we might be able to enroll our daughter with you. 
Woman: We do have space so that should be fine what's the age of your daughter. 
Man: She's two.  
Woman: Okay now I need to take some details first.  
Man: Of course. 
Woman:  To begin with I need your and your wife's names. 
Man:  My name is Luke Becket and my wife's name is Gloria Becket. 
Woman: Would you spell Becket for me please. 
Man: It's B-E-C-K-E-T-T. 
Woman: And Gloria.
Man:  G-L-O-R-I.
Woman: A thank you and can I assume that you both live together at the same address. 
Man: Yes we do.  
Woman: Can I have the full address?
Man: It's 40 Castle Cresent backley. 
Woman: And the post code.
Man:  It's ba37TR. 
Woman: Thank you now uh can I take some telephone numbers for you and your wife. 
Man: Of course our home number is 01538 853 285.  
Woman: Thank you and do you have mobile numbers?  
Man: Yes mine is 07770 728 473 and my wife's is 07743 812 451. 
Woman: Could you say your wife's again Please.
Man:  Of course it's 07743 812 451. 
Woman: Thanks I've got all that down, could I also have work numbers for you both. 
Man:  My office number is 01538 926 477 and my wife's work number is 01538 596 821.
Woman:  Thanks now I'll talk about our fee structure a little later but how would you like to pay our fees. 
Man: We'll pay by bank transfer when we get the invoice.
Woman: That's fine thank you so your daughter what's her name.  
Man: It's Gertrude Beckett, she has no middle name.  
Woman: Good she's 2 years old I know that does she have any allergies that you know of. 
Man: The only one we know of is that she's allergic to Cats.
Woman: Okay I've made a note of that it won't be a problem there are no animals.
in our nursery and none of our teachers has a pet.  
Man: Good, that's very reassuring. 
Woman: Now I suppose you know quite a lot about us already as you've chosen us to look after your daughter.
Man:  That's right, we have friends who have their children here.  
Woman: That's good I'd still like to talk about our systems here a little bit though.  
Man: Oh yes that's fine.  
Woman: So we start doing activities at 8:30 a.m. but parents can drop off their children at any time after 6:30 from 6:30 we always have a team of carers here who will supervise your child while she plays with the others and they will clean and change her when necessary you don't need to bring anything in that regard as we will have all that is necessary here. 
Man: Do we need to bring anything else for Gertrude. 
Woman: Just a sweater for going outside and a couple of changes of clothing in case she gets dirty, keep it in a good quality bag and have it clearly marked as gertrud's.  
Man: Okay, what happens if gertrud's sick.  
Woman:  We will of course call you and your wife straight away if she's sick you'll need to pick her up as soon as you can when that happens as we don't want other children to catch illnesses in the unlikely event of anything really serious we're just a mile away from the county hospital also we always have a nurse on duty who specializes in children so your child will always have good Supervision in terms of health.  
Man: Good thank you.  
Woman: The end of daytime activities is at 4:00 though you can pick G trude up earlier if you wish also we offer supervision until 6:30 for people who work late we ask that do you do not arrive later than that to pick up your child as our staff will want to get home to their families if you're unavoidably detained please call our number which is in our information pack here 
Man: That shouldn't be a problem for us as we both finish work at around 4:00.  
Woman: Good finally I'd like to tell you about a new service that we're running it will cost extra outside our usual fee structure but it's proving to be incredibly popular we now offer supervision at the weekends so that parents can be free to shop travel a little or do other necessary things that would be awkward with a young child. 
Man:  I don't think we'd need that often as we wouldn't like to leave gerud then as we see her so little during the week it would be very useful for unexpected things and emergencies though.  
Woman: Well let's move on to the fee structure.
