PTE Reading Fill in the blanks questions type under the PTE Reading test assesses test-takers ability to read and understand English texts in the academic context. The reading passage is up to 300 words in length with 3-5 blank spaces in it to fill. Candidates need to answer 4-5 questions. At the bottom of the passage, you will find 6-8 words in the blue box that you can use to fill the gaps in the passage. A partial credit scoring system is applied here. You need to pay attention to grammar, vocabulary, connectors, and collocations while performing PTE Reading Fill in the blanks task.
Recommended Strategy: Quickly skim the text for a general understanding of what the text is about. Start with the first blank, if you are unsure about the answer, move on to the next one. The more blanks you fill in, the easier it will be to answer your skipped blank. After completion, read the passage again to make sure the text is coherent and logical.
