Multiple Choice Single Answer is the fifth question type in the PTE reading section. For this item, a question will be asked based on a paragraph. Through mass media, especially television has many programs has talk shows, live interviews, documentary, live reporting which are broadcasted. For instance, many social issues are discussed in talk shows and common public could give their view and concerns that may by heard by the government and higher officials.

Secondly, it is believed that pen is mightier than sword. For many, day starts with reading newspaper, which gives all information in the society and around the world, thus keeps us up-to-date in current affairs. Today "right to information" is recognized as fundamental rights of people and media ensures this right.

To conclude, mass media has the profound influence on people thinking, sentiments and their mode of reaction, thus it is evident that mass media is essential in our lives and media should follow ethics and cannot be biassed as it will create negative impact in the whole society.
