How Long Does It Take To Send IELTS Scores To Universities?

It takes roughly five business days to deliver your IELTS scores online to colleges; it takes five to ten business days to send hard copy scorecards.

In order to send your IELTS scores to universities, you need to send through a Test Report Form, commonly abbreviated as TRF in IELTS. The TRF essentially serves as a copy of your IELTS exam results. Typically, you can expect to receive your TRF within 23 days following the IELTS test examination. The TRF report will be dispatched via courier, while the eTRF can be downloaded and printed from the official website.

Once the results are available, you can conveniently collect your TRF from the nearest IDP IELTS office. It's advisable to bring along the identity proof that you used during the registration process when collecting your TRF.

What is the fee for sending IELTS Scores to Universities?

It involves Zero Cost to send your Test Report Forms (TRF) upto to five colleges of your choice up to five within one month of the IELTS exam.

However, if you intend to dispatch your IELTS score to more than five universities, there will be an additional charge of approximately $3.75(INR 310) for each additional university you select, whether you choose electronic or physical delivery.

Furthermore, if you wish to request Additional Test Report Forms (ATRF) for institutions after your test has been completed for over a month, you must submit an application for their issuance, accompanied by a corresponding fee for each ATRF you request.

Please note that international students may incur additional expenses of up to $19 (INR 1580) for sending a physical copy of ATRF to each institution through courier. You will be given the tracking ID/reference number as soon as the report has been delivered.

You are required to pay up to $4.8 (INR 400) for sending a physical copy of ATRF to each institution by post. IDP won't give you the tracking or reference number in this case. Additionally, they are not in charge of the delivery.

Please note that offline(in-person) applications for the ATRF are no longer accepted as of February 1, 2020. You can submit your ATRF application through the candidate login section.

What is the mode of payment for sending your IELTS score to universities?

Candidates have several payment options available for their IELTS fees:

  • Online payment using a card, eWallet, or net banking.
  • Cash should be brought to any ICICI bank branch filled out with ICICI payment slips.
  • The option of making a demand draft payment to either "British Council payable at Delhi" or "IDP Education India Private Limited, payable at New Delhi."

Please be aware that none of the IELTS offices accept cash or credit cards as payment methods.
