Describe a bicycle/motorbike/car trip that is interesting - Model answer 1

Introduction

To put it simply, I love to travel. I try to take advantage of any opportunity I have to see the world. We usually take the train for big trips as a family, but I'd like to share a story about when I rode my friend’s bike.

Who you would like to go there with?

Recently, on the occasion of his eighteenth birthday, my friend Preet was given a brand-new BMW motorcycle. However, until he finishes his college finals, his father would not let him drive the vehicle. As such, he is preparing for a trip in vacation.

Where and when do you want to go?

We prefer travelling to Ladakh, specifically Leh. The truth is that we haven't decided when exactly this trip will take place. We have thought it out and are prepared to make it happen when the time is right. After I finish my final examinations in March, we will most likely take a trip.

Why do you want to do it?

In the year 2019, my friend Yash and his cousins travelled to Leh, a stunning place in Ladakh. Based on the amazing photographs and videos he uploaded during his travels, I discovered his visit.  Also, he informed me that their trip was really quite exciting. The group set out at midnight and made numerous fuel stops to refuel, take in the sights, and capture some incredible photographs.

Explain what you hope to do on the trip?

Spending time with my closest friends is why I want to go on this vacation. Additionally, I enjoy taking photographs and capturing precious moments in time. So, I'm going to try to capture some beautiful scenes of nature. Tall mountains characterize the landscape, and both sunrise and sunset offer breathtaking views. The atmosphere is comforting and I enjoy taking in all the beautiful scenery.

Conclusion

Last but not least, I want to say that long-term habitation in one environment has the same effect on men as it does on animals: it become bored and depressed. The joys of travelling lie in their ability to break up this routine.

Describe a bicycle/motorbike/car trip that is interesting - Model answer 2

Introduction and Who you would like to go there with?

The allure of a road journey, be it by a bicycle, motorbike, or vehicle, has always captivated my interest. The freedom of open roads drives my wanderlust, offering the chance to explore new places and experience the adventure that comes with the journey. Especially, the thought of a motorbike ride with family and friends across lovely cities, hill stations, and stunning landscapes, allures my desire for new adventures and discoveries.

Where and when do you want to go?

Me and my friends are interested in taking a trip to Mahabaleshwar during the monsoon season. I went there once when I was a kid and remember it well. The details are blurred in my mind.

Why do you want to do it?

It is entitled to the most comforting ambiance, breathtaking views, and mouthwatering cuisine. Pictures and stories have created me a mental picture of the place, including its culture and its inhabitants.

Explain what you hope to do on the trip?

My heart and thoughts are drawn to the area because of the stunning sunset point and other wonderful sights there. We have been waiting for a vacation to spend time together as a family for quite some time, and this location is immensely appealing to me and my loved ones. We'll get a nice opportunity to spend time together during the road journey in the midst of unrestrained nature and visionaries.

Conclusion

We would be able to spend some quality time together in a peaceful setting while also doing something completely unique and exciting on this trip. In the following days, I am hoping to be able to do this road trip.

IELTS speaking part 3 - Describe a bicycle/motorbike/car trip that is interesting - follow-up questions

You can review the follow-up questions for “Describe a bicycle/motorbike/car trip that is interesting”. In the speaking test, this discussion round will be conducted for about 4-5 minutes where you have to elaborate your answers to the examiner.

1. Which form of vehicle is most common in your country, bikes, car or motorcycle?

There is a huge demand for automobiles in India. Motorcycles are the most popular form of transportation in India, with the majority of the population coming from middle-class households. Then, cars are also popular in India, particularly for long-distance trips and for transporting families. Workers and leisure cyclists alike can often be seen cycling around town on two wheels.

2. Do you think air pollution comes mostly from mobile vehicles?

In my opinion, no. The manufacturing industries are important producers to air pollution, even though vehicles contribute significantly to pollution as well. Toxic gases, such as carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, are released into the air by factories and pose a threat to human health.

3. Do you think people need to change the way of transportation drastically to protect the environment?

Of course! For the sake of the planet, people must dramatically alter their modes of transportation. For the obvious reason that automobiles powered by fossil fuels contribute significantly to air pollution. The government should establish strict regulations. The public-sector agreement will undoubtedly benefit the planet, in my opinion.

4. How are transportation systems in rural and urban systems different?

In my experience, urban locations have better transit options than rural ones. Commuters in urban areas have easy access to a wide variety of public transportation options, including buses, trains, and taxis. In the absence of reliable public transit, most rural residents rely on their personal vehicles for getting around.

5.  How can car journeys be made safer?

Cooperation between the general public and the authorities is necessary for the improvement of road safety. For starters, the government should launch information drives. The importance of safe driving should be stressed to the public in such campaigns. In addition, criminals should face severe penalties. Last but not least, it is essential that manufacturers focus safety of the passengers in the event of an accident.
