Everybody feels special and fortunate for a person whose profession is prominent in society. Being associated with such an identity causes us to feel lucky and proud.

Who is this person?

The person that I want to describe is my brother Pratyush Shah.

How do you know this person?

He is my maternal cousin; his mother is four years older than mine. I have known him since birth. He is my favourite brother, whom I have always looked up to. He resides in Ahmedabad along with his family and works at Shelby Hospital.

What job does he/she do?

He is a general physician, who deals with all kinds of general, non-surgical health issues for adults. He even provides services in his own clinic, situated in Sarkhej. He provides treatment to the poor at a very nominal cost, without any discriminations.

Doctors perform a significant role in our lives. A person's first and last events are certified by doctors. They possess extensive knowledge in the field of medicine, implement and utilise the same to identify medical problems in patients, and use that skill to prevent or tend those issues.

Introduction

No profession is superior. They have their own importance in society. Some jobs are not as celebrated as others. One such occupation that is not appreciated enough but is crucial is that of an emergency medical responder.

Who is this person?

The person whose job I want to acknowledge is my parental uncle. His name is Rajesh Bhatt.

How do you know this person?

He belongs to my father’s side of the family. He is the youngest of all of my father’s siblings. He is very jolly and fun-loving. He likes helping others a lot, which is why he opted to work as a paramedic in the emergency ambulance.

What job does he/she do?

His job description includes driving the emergency vehicles, attending distress calls, and performing an initial assessment and providing treatment. And transferring patients to the nearest government hospitals or, in the case of a critical situation, to any nearby hospitals (in life-threatening situations requiring immediate medical attention). He has succeeded in saving several lives due to his meticulous and accurate initial diagnosis.

• She is in her late forties, and a South Indian.
• She has a doctorate in literature.

• She has been my English tutor since I was in 8th grade.
• She has been a teacher in my school for the past 12 years.

1. Why do people like to do those things that are important for society?

I think people tend to have a sense of responsibility to return to society. Some people have previously been part of a community that needed support and such people have supported them; hence, they take it upon themselves to do something that helps others as well. While some individuals even feel empathetic towards the lower earning class and feel the urge to help.

2.What are the jobs which are important to society?

I believe all jobs contribute to society, especially those of doctors, armed personnel, and teachers. But there are some more professions, like emergency responders, garbage collectors, security guards, cleaning staff, and so on, that make equal contributions to society. Their work is frequently overlooked and not appreciated enough. A day without security would cause them to feel unsafe in their own house.

3.Who should teach children to help others? Parents or teachers?

Being helpful to others is a value inculcated in children from a young age. It should be imparted by parents as well as teachers to be considerate towards one another. Children learn from their surroundings and their role models, which are their parents and teachers.

4.Is it easy to do the job of a teacher? Why or why not?

No, I believe a teacher’s job is one of the most challenging because they are dealing with various minds with distinct understandings, natures, and attitudes. They have to teach and ensure their understanding is on par with each other. They are responsible for moulding the children. In addition, teachers are role models for students; therefore, they have to maintain proper etiquette in front of them and encourage them to be honest and truthful.

5.In what kind of professions do people help others more?

I think every profession exists to coexist with each other. Each job is performed to lend a helping hand to another, and it may be done directly or indirectly. Professions like doctors, teachers, police officers, and so on help others directly. According to me, people working in NGOs, community centres, and such are helping others the most.

6.Are politicians serving humanity? Why or why not?

Politicians are those people who represent the government and are elected by the citizens to aid the country’s development and progress. In some third-world countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and many more, they are recognised to cheat the population and work for their selfish motives, that is, to gain money. However, there are good politicians like Narendra Modi, who has worked hard to bring considerable developments to India.
