IELTS speaking test part 1 sample questions answers - Computer

1. What do you use a computer for?

When I have assignments or academic projects to complete, I turn to my computer. As for other computer-based hobbies, I enjoy playing video games and utilising social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Occasionally, I'll even pop in a movie on my computer.

2. What was your impression when you used a computer for the first time?

When I was a student, I first encountered a computer. I wondered how a machine created by humans can perform any task at a higher speed and with greater efficiency than any human being. The first time I used it, I was so obsessed that I pledged to own my very own computer one day.

3. How did you learn to use a computer?

Since middle school, I've had computer classes as part of my curriculum. On top of that, I used to take extra computer classes throughout the vacation.

4. Have computers changed your life in any way (if yes, How?)?

There is no doubt that computers have had a profound impact on my life. I used to write down my notes and homework assignments, but now I use a computer for both. Additionally, it has simplified the process of archiving data and images within it.

5. Are computers used much in your country?

Absolutely, in my nation, computers have reached nearly every industry. They may be found in classrooms, offices, and workplaces. I can't think of a single business or institution that doesn't employ the use of computers.

6. Do you think computers are helpful in everyday life (how)?

I agree that computers have many practical applications. Computers are used in all aspects of life, from socialising to getting things done at work to fulfilling legal obligations. It's impossible to live a modern life unaffected by technology.

7. Computers are now used a lot in education. What do you think of this?

Computers in the classroom have been proven effective over time. Students get both a theoretical and practical understanding with computers through school-based computer education. Projects, assignments, and other coursework are all made using computers. Because of this, students no longer have to manually create their projects and will benefit greatly from learning to utilize computers.

IELTS speaking test part 2 sample questions answers - Computer

Describe something enjoyable you can do on a computer.

You should say

  • What it is.
  • What equipment or software you need to do that.
  • How often you do it.
  • Explain why you enjoy doing this on a computer.

Introduction & What it is?

Here in Mumbai, I go to college. Unfortunately, I need to devote a significant amount of time to the coursework for my MBBS. On the other hand, spending time on the computer is one of my favourite ways to pass the time. When I find myself with some spare time, I like to relax by watching a movie or an episode of one of a newer television series.

What equipment or software you need to do that?

My laptop is fairly powerful in terms of specs. When I'm doing college tasks like research, I frequently need to use the machine. But I also use it for fun on occasion. Watching movies on my laptop is relaxing. Playing movies requires only video-playing software. Similar software can play music and songs. I use the software for both. This video-playing software lets you control video playback, sound, speed, subtitle selection, and more. Moreover, my wireless mouse makes watching movies in bed easier and my headphones, among the best in the audio device industry, amplify the sound, and the screen is as big and bright as if I were sitting in a real theatre.

How often you do it?

I often use my computer to watch movies in order to rejuvenate myself from the long hours of studying. Movies are something I do once a week.

Explain why you enjoy doing this on a computer & Conclusion

When I want to relax, I watch movies on the computer. In the beginning, I won't be able to go to the theatre to watch a recently released film. In addition to that, I do not have a lot of friends who frequently go to the movies. Free movie streaming is available online, so I can watch those whenever I want. Thus, there are a lot of good reasons for why I favour watching movies on my computer while I'm in my little home office.

IELTS speaking test part 3 sample questions answers - Computer

1. Do you think computers help society?

I do think that's the case, though. The effects of technology on the world as a whole, are hard to measure. If a family member is in trouble and needs money, for instance, I can send it to them right away using my computer and the internet. Back in the day, you couldn't do this. Millions of people have also gotten jobs because of it. In the business world or at a call centre, you can get a job that pays well and helps people out financially. In this way, computers can be seen as the real saviours of society in the big picture.

2. Do you think computers are bad for health?

I believe that an excessive amount of anything is unhealthy. If you take too many painkillers, for instance, you could end up dying. As a result of increased computer usage, people may be becoming less active, but productivity has increased. This demonstrates that physical activity can be incorporated into the schedules of all individuals. In addition, prolonged screen time can be harmful to our eyes, but I don't believe anyone should be overly concerned as long as they take the necessary precautions.

3. Do you think computers have changed the world?

I think that computers have indeed brought about a groundbreaking change in society. Everything has been revolutionized, from social interactions to the study of information to financial management. Unlike the days when people wrote letters to one another, we are now virtually always in contact. People are constantly expanding their knowledge, so they do not wait in lines. Thus, I can receive free education at home from faculties from top universities.

4. What do you mostly do in a computer?

I spend the majority of my time either composing, debugging or surfing the internet. I always carry my laptop with me, so whenever I have the desire to compose, I boot up my Laptop and get to work. Video clip viewing is my current favourite laptop activity. Short films on Television always brighten my day, and I frequently watch them. If I require any information, I simply conduct online research. The Internet and computer have become such an integral part of my daily life, in my opinion, due to their integration.

5. How do you interact with your friends?

My profession leaves me with little time to socialize with my friends in the actual world. I attempt to make up for it, however, I’ll keep in touch with individuals via emails, and social networking sites. While I enjoy face-to-face interactions with family and friends, I find web communication slightly more convenient.
