The Guardian Newspaper’s Travel Photography Competition

The photo contest that gave another chance to win the amazing travel to Swedish Lapland is back.

Do you have a camera and love to travel? If yes, our annual photo contest conducted by The Guardian's Travel section is for you. This is a chance to enjoy the nature of the trips you make, both remotely or close to home, and visualize your work online. The winner of each month's contest can be seen placing and showing their shot at The Guardian's offices in London at the end of the year exhibition for the public. At the end of the exhibition, each monthly winner will receive a framed copy of their shot to proudly place on their own wall.

Each month will have a different theme. Members of The Guardian travel writing team and photographer Michael Ryan of Fotovue.com will determine the monthly entries and overall winner.

The overall winner will make an exciting four-night trip to Swedish Lapland. The host of this special holiday is Fredrik Broman, who has been a nature photographer for 21 years. Fredrik will help the winner and other participants in photographing a variety of winter lessons. Each day pays specific attention. The trip has winter light photography workshops, an photo editing workshop, a night photography course, and an action photography workshop.
The prize includes fully-fledged Wild Guides and Instructors for return flights from the UK, a four-night shelter with full board, winter clothing for the trip, winter boots, gloves, hats, and wool socks.

The overall winner will have to write a travel report and take accompanying photos, which will then be published in The Guardian's travel section. However, the Guardian reserves the right to alter your report and photos as needed. Your name will definitely appear with the article and photos.
