Admission Eligibility:

For Post Graduate Diplomas:

1. Minimum over all 55% in Last Degree.

2. Backlogs Criteria / Requirements:   

10 + 3 yrs. of diploma – Max. 3 backlogs allowed

10 + 2 + 3 Format – Max. 6 backlogs allowed

10 + 2 + 4 Format – Max. 10 backlogs allowed 

*More than 3 trails in 1 sem. Or term make student ineligible to apply to Algonquin College.

GAP:

For Post Graduate diploma programs maximum 5 Years of gap after last degree. College will require the Resume with explanation from 1 to 5 years, only experience letter will not be considerable for admission. More than 5 Years Gap not eligible for the admission.

For Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Certificate and Bachelor Degree maximum 2 Years gap acceptable. More than 2 Years gap not eligible for the admission. 

1.  Academic Requirements

            o    Minimum 50% overall in Grade 12.

            o    Early Childhood Education:

    •   50% overall in Grade 12

           o    Bachelor programs: 65% required.

           o    Backlogs:

• • •   Maximum 10 backlogs
    •   Maximum 3 retakes allowed

2.  Co-op & Work Permit

• •  If co-op is mentioned in LOA (paid/unpaid), student must apply for:
    •  Study Permit + Co-op Work Permit
  • If co-op is not mentioned, only Study Permit is required.

For Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Programs

High School Grade requirements (10+2 and 10+3):

1.  Punjab, Gujarat and Haryana states – 60% or higher in all core subjects, overall average of 65%   

2. All other School Boards – 55% or higher in all core subjects, overall average of 60% 

3. 10 + 3 yrs. of diploma – Max. 3 backlogs allowed

Change of Agent Policy: Change of Agent is not allowed but if the applicant has previously applied directly to the college and later he wants to hire agent’s services then he can do so but only before fees payment.

Important Note: For Bachelor of Interior Design & Bachelor of Public Safety, we can offer Algonquin College Math test (IMSA) in case the student doesn't have math in grade 12, as well as for diplomas & Advanced diplomas.

*All documents submitted with an Application need to be coloured scanned copies of originals (Notarised documents are not required until further notice). Note: ‘NIOS’, ‘Distance Learning’, ‘Online’, ‘Part-time’ or any ‘Correspondence Studies’ at any level is not accepted.
