- 1st Year of the 4-Year Bachelor's Degree at SFU can be pursued at FIC
- 12th Science students should have a minimum 65% overall aggregate in 12th, with no less than 60% in core subjects for Engineering programs (Maths-70%). For Computer related programs, a minimum of 50% in 12th Maths is accepted. If the student does not have Maths in 12th, the College provides the First Year Maths Class (Students of 12th Biology Group receive the LOA of Faculty of Communication Arts and Technology).
- 12th Arts/Humanities and 12th Commerce students should have a minimum of 60% overall in 12th, with no less than 60% in 4 core subjects.
- For transfer into SFU’s Undergraduate Degree, the student needs to have an average CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.5.
- Computer Science, Health Science, and Business programs are the most popular programs among Indian students. Also, the Faculty of Communication Arts and Technology’s programs are popular among the students of Indian metro cities.
- The 2-year academic gap is accepted if it is strongly justified in the Statement of Purpose (SOP) by the student regarding all the activities s/he was associated with in 2 Years.
- Indian Universities’ dropouts need to provide their 1st Year’s Transcripts. Indian University students with more than 60 credits DO NOT become eligible for FIC.
- On-campus accommodation cost – 13,000-14000 CAD p.a.
- At the Masters level, offers only MBA and Mechatronics programs (Very Competitive Entrance).
- Student needs to pay the Final Offer Acceptance Fee of 14,000 CAD
- Airport Pick-Up Facility available. Also, the students can opt for shuttle buses to Burnaby from Vancouver International Airport
- For FIC to SFU transfer, students need to have the following minimum CGPA:
- 1) Arts Students – 2.5 CGPA out of 4.5 CGPA
- 2) Business students - 3.2 CGPA out of 4.5 CGPA
- 3) Computer Science students - 2.75 to 3.2 CGPA out of 4.5 CGPA
- (*In case of a lesser CGPA, the students can stay back and increase their CGPA or transfer to another Faculty of studies).
