Introduction:
  There are many beautiful cities in India. Each has their own unique  things. Here i am going to share about the beautiful city which i know.

Where is the city?
 Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan and it is the largest city of the Indian state. Also it is the 10th most populous city in the country. It is located 167 miles from the national capital New delhi.

How did you know the city?
  I learned about this city from one of the magazines that was given by my school management. They have given many information about the city like History, culture, economy,  etc.

What buildings does the city have?
 The Hawa Mahal on Badi Chaupad is a famous building in Jaipur city. It is at the intersection of the main road in Jaipur. It is the signature building not only for Jaipur in the whole of India. It is an iconic monument in Jaipur.

What is it famous for?
  Jaipur is famous for Jewelleries, Lac bangles, Foods like Kachori, Ghevar etc, Carpet, City gate, Teej festival, Dresses, Heritage havelis, Fabulous forts, Magnificent museums. Jaipur is also called as pink city because during the rule of Sawai Ram Singh II, the city was painted as pink in color to welcome Albert Edward, prince of Wales in 1876. Still many of the avenues remained painted in pink and it gave Jaipur a distinctive appearance and the epithet pink city.

Explain why you think this city is beautiful.
  Jaipur is a beautiful city for many reasons.  It has a rich cultural heritage that continues to thrive. The city is a combination of Indian and modern culture.

Conclusion:
  If an explorer is interested in deserts, places, colorful festivals then it is an ideal place to visit in India.

Introduction:

  • Each country is unique in some way, some countries are unique in culture, some has unique mountains,etc.. Also each country has a beautiful city in their county. 
  • Here I am going to share about the beautiful city which I know.

Where is the city?

  • Bergen is a city and municipality in Vestland county on the west coast of Norway.
  • Bergen is the second largest city in Norway after the national capital Oslo.
  • The city is surrounded by mountains called the “city of seven mountains”.
  • Bergen is the administrative center of vestland county, it consists of eight boroughs.

How did you know the city?

  • I came to know about this country through social media.
  • Through that I have learned many unknown things about Bergen Norway.

What buildings does the city have?

  • Fantoft stave church is a reconstructed stave church in the Fana borough of the city.
  • The church was originally built in the year 1150 at Fortun in Sogn, a village near the inner or eastern end of Sognefjord.

What is it famous for?

  • Bergen is famous for its variety of museums and galleries, trendsetting music scene, and huge choice of eateries offering local delicacies.  
  • Tour Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, Hike Mount Fløyen (Fløyfjell), Grieg Museum (Troldhaugen), Hanseatic Museum and Schøtstuene, Bergenhus Fortress.

Explain why you think this city is beautiful.

  • Bergen is a lively city in Norway, it is the gateway to the Norwegian fjords.
  • It is nestled between mountains and with many kilometers of Coastline.

Conclusion:

  • Bergen is perfect if an explorer is in love with mountain hikes, water activities, city walks and culture.Then it is the best place to visit.

Introduction:
There are many beautiful cities around the world,  we know about some cities but we don’t know about many beautiful cities which are hidden. Here i am going to share about such a beautiful city.

Where is the city?
  Cape Town is the capital of South Africa. It is the oldest city of the country and it is the seat of the parliament of South Africa. Also it is the second largest city of the country’s after Johannesburg. This city is known for its Harbour.

How did you know the city?
 I came to know about this city through textbooks. My sister was doing her Bachelor of Arts in Tourism. She had a separate book for a subject related to International tourism.

What buildings does the city have?
  Cape town has dozens of beautiful and historical buildings scattered around the inner city. Many of those buildings are still used for commercial and residential purposes. One of those building’s is Castle of Good Hope is the oldest colonial building in south Africa, built by Dutch colonists between 1666 and 1679.

What is it famous for?
 It is famous for its natural beauty, especially for the Table Mountain, one of the oldest mountains in the World. It is one of the most famous attractive places in the city's botanical gardens beckon from its slopes.

Why you think this city is beautiful?
  Cape Town is a best place to visit during January-March and december. We can see many new activities like Share diving, penguins and seals, sea and scenery.

Conclusion:
  Cape Town is a beloved tourist destination for visitors all the world over. It’s, therefore, no surprise that this coastal gem has been voted the best city in the world seven-years-running.

  • Among all the beautiful cities in the world, this one city is said to be a “city of love”. 
  • Here I am going to share the beautiful city which I know.

Where is the city?

  • Paris is the capital city of France. It is the fourth-most populated city in the European Union. 
  • It is  also called as “city of lights”

How did you know the city?

  • I came to know about this city through one of the websites.
  • They have given all the information about the city with some pictures.

What buildings does the city have?

  • The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-Iron lattice tower on the champ de Mars in Paris.
  • The Tower is 330 meters 1,083ft tall. 
  • The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels.

What is it famous for?

  • Paris is famous for its landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, Notre-Dame and the Louvre.
  • Its rich cultural and artistic heritage, showcased in its museums and galleries.
  • Its romantic and elegant atmosphere, attracting lovers from all over the world

Explain why you think this city is beautiful.

  • It has a Magnificent view of the city.
  • It has been a scene for great cinema classics for years.
  • Cobblestones shining in the setting sun are with the aid of some distance are one of the most beautiful sights, especially in Paris.

Conclusion:

  • With all beauty and romance in each and every part of it. And it is truly a sight for sore eyes for visitors.

Introduction:
 Pilgrimage places are also considered to be beautiful cities. Here I am going to share the beautiful city which I know.

Where is the city?
 Varanasi is a city on the Ganges river in Northern India. It has a central place in the traditions of pilgrimage, death and mourning in the Hindu World. It is a much-revered place for both Jains and Hindus.

How did you know the city?
 Few years back I went to that city with my family. At that time I came to know about this city from one of the Peregrine.

What buildings does the city have?
The Ramnagar Fort is the most beautiful and iconic building in Varanasi, India. It  is located near the Ganges on its earthen bank opposite to the Tulsi Ghat, shri Vishwanath Temple it is also called as Golden Temple. It is one of the most popular destinations in India and its gold-plated spire is also the country's most recognizable landmark. The hindu temple Dashashwamedh Ghat is a popular religious site on the Ganges River bank.

What is it famous for?
Varanasi is  famous for Temples( it has over 2000 temples with different god and goddess some of the famous temples are Kashi Vishwanath, Sankat Mochan, and Durga Temple), Banarasi skill( it is a type of skill fabric which as gold and silver thread works), Ganga arati ( it is a ritual by showing arati to the ganges), Handwoven carpets(Varanasi is famous around the world for its hand woven carpets. In fact, a number of export houses have opened up in Varanasi to exclusively manufacture and export carpets).
Varanasi is  famous for Hinduism, Temples, Ganga river, Ganga arati, Banarasi skill, ivory works, glass beads etc.

Explain why you think this city is beautiful. 
   It has colorful festivals and rituals, Holi, Mystical temples, and amazing photo opportunities at sunrise.

Conclusion:
 It is the best place for the Peregrine to visit, it is a city where every stone tells a story of spirituality, a city that has been a silent spectator to the evolving history of India.

IELTS speaking part 3 - describe a beautiful city follow up questions.

   In part 3 of the IELTS speaking test, the allocated time limit for this part was 4-5 minutes. We have given some followup questions related to “describe a beautiful city”. It will assist you to score good marks in exams.

    Modern cities have more population than towns,  advanced amenities there in cities than town, life is slower in town than cities and Legal distinctions between a town and a city can vary widely by country.

2. How can people preserve historical buildings?
  Can get funds from the government to maintain the historical buildings, volunteering our time to conduct fundraising events, and give an ad through social media and television to give an awareness about the buildings.

3. Why do some people like to visit historical places?
   People like to visit historical places to learn about the culture, the way our ancestors lived their life and the architecture.

4. Why do people go to modern cities?
People visit modern cities for many reasons, some go for work/studies or business purposes or to experience modern city life. To learn about modern technology.

5. What are the problems caused in maintaining historical cities?
  The problems of maintaining historical cities are the maintaining costs are much higher, replacement of urban activities, overuse of heritage assets and depopulation due to overtourism.

6. What can we do to stop visitors from damaging historical places?
    Different measures can be taken to avoid damaging the historical places. Measures like giving strict punishments, can appoint a security employee to prevent damages from the public or visitors.

7. Do you think too many tourists is a positive thing for historical attractions?
  There are both advantages and disadvantages in having too many tourists. Advantages of too many tourists can help economic boost, cultural exchange, disadvantages of having too many tourists are environmental damage, overcrowding etc.
