Introduction:
Here I am going to talk about the 8th smallest national park of India. And one of the very few national parks situated inside a city.
Where is it?
Guindy National Park is a protected area of Tamil Nadu, located in Chennai, India. The park is an extension of the grounds surrounding Raj Bhavan, formerly known as the ‘Guindy Lodge’, the official residence of the governor of Tamil Nadu, India.
What does it look like?
The park has a role in both ex-situ and in-situ conversation and is home to 400 blackbucks, 2000 spotted deer, 24 jackals, a wide variety of snakes, geckos, tortoises and over 130 species of birds, 14 species of mammals, over 60 species of butterflies and spiders and different invertebrates.
What do people usually do there?
People spend time with their family and friends, it is home to over 600 species of flora and fauna. It is a true paradise for nature lovers. Also they have provided a safe space for animals to survive and to visit this place safely for visitors.
Explain why you remember it
It was a couple years ago, when I was doing my higher studies, I did a project related to taking surveys to these kinds of parks and gardens. As my college is located near Guindy National park, I chose this place to take a survey. I was there to take surveys for more than 5 days.
Conclusion:
Most of the people were enjoying this place, with their family and friends. While I am taking surveys most of them have said that it was the best place to play, a good and must visit place if you are visiting chennai.

Introduction:
- Sometimes the random choice is the best. It results in a good experience. Here I am going to talk about the garden or park which we visit as unplanned.
Where is it?
- Osho Teerth Park (Osho Garden) is located in Pune, Maharashtra. It is part of Osho International Meditation Resort. It is a meditation place and is named after Osho.
- In 1989, the Osho Ashram assumed ownership of the Osho Garden area.
It partnered with the Shunyo Foundation, a Japanese environmental group, to transform it into the park that it is today.
What does it look like?
- Early Osho Garden has seen various alterations and upgrades through the years. Initially, the garden had few flowering plants and trees. Later when the team of horticulturists and landscape architects rebuilt the site.
- The new design included numerous plants, trees, and flowers from across the world. Some of the most popular garden sections are Zen garden and Buddha grove.
What do people usually do there?
- This park is especially for meditation purposes. Most people visit this place to have a peaceful day.
Explain why you remember it
- Few years back I went to my sister’s home in Pune for my vacation. There we plan to go on road for a day, while crossing the we randomly visit that park.
- We were taught that it is a normal garden, with different species of plants and play area.
Conclusion:
- As Pune’s climate added to the vegetation, this barren land turned out to be a beautiful park for providing a rejuvenating experience to its visitors.

Introduction:
Bangalore is the center of India’s high-tech industry, this city is also known for its parks and nightlife. Here I am going to talk about one of the famous gardens in bangalore.
Where is it?
Lalbagh botanical garden or simply Lalbagh is an botanical garden in Bangalore, India, with an over 200-year history. First planned and laid out during the dalavaiship of Hyder Ali, the garden was later managed under numerous British.
What does it look like?
The park has some rare species of plants brought from Perisa, Afghanistan and France. With an intricate watering system of irrigation, this garden is aesthetically designed, with lawns, flowerbeds, lotus pools and fountains.
What do people usually do there?
People mostly went there to see the flower shows which are conducted every year during the week of Republic day and Independence day. Also there was an artificial waterfall commissioned in 2017 at the eastern edge of the lake.
Explain why you remember it
My cousins and I went for a trip to Bangalore, during our vacation. That time I visited this garden. They were collecting a certain amount as entry fee, but it was worth the money to visit this garden.
Conclusion:
According to me it is the must visit place for the visitors in Bangalore. I enjoyed it a lot, it took nearly a complete day to roam around the full garden. Also they have provided the battery car for the elders and bicycles to roam inside the garden.

3. Do you think there are enough public gardens in your hometown?
I think not, because there are only a few public gardens in my hometown. I could rarely see a garden around me. For example, the place where I’m currently living has only 3 gardens, even though the area is that big with a maximum of 10 or 12 streets.
4. How do people of different age groups use public Gardens?
In my opinion, Kids love to play in the garden, for example, they can play scavenger hunt, cloud watching, etc. At the same time, adolescents may visit gardens to enjoy nature, or they gather together as friends to chat with them. And older people may want to relax.
5. What age group normally visits parks?
Everyone can visit the park, but I think normally kids love to visit the park everyday. Visiting the park is a child’s first step towards the world beyond their little world. Also they have the freedom to interact with other kids, make new friends, play in their ways, and make decisions.
6. What makes a garden beautiful?
Flowers are lovely but between flowering seasons it's the variations in foliage that keep your garden looking stunning.
