Sample 1: Describe a long walk you ever had

Introduction

Being a fitness freak and health conscious I prefer going for a walk every day. However, I have a special incident I wish to share with you now.

When did this happen?

It was on a Sunday morning, I was too lazy to pull out of my bed after a long week. But I was determined in going to walking on that particular day because one of my childhood friends had returned from abroad and said he will join me today.

Who you were with?

My best friend, with whom I grew up in school days accompanied me. As he has returned to the native after several years, we planned to walk in the areas where we spent our school days.

Where do you walk?

As we are neighbors, we started our walking from our home, and visited our school which was nearby. We spent a few moments there and went to the park where we would play cricket, hide and seek, etc. Due to renovations, the places have been changed but our memories of us being there was still intact. Then we continued walking towards the shop we used to drink juice and returned home.

And explain how you felt about this walk.

Every day I go walking, but this particular day was special to me because we were both talking and recalling our memories which took us to our past. We felt refreshed and the smile the memories caused in us were remaining even after hours.

Conclusion

Walking is not only good for physical health, but it also gives a good relaxing feel to our mind. You meet a lot of people and a small smile exchange may create a new boost in your mind. So keep walking.

Sample 2: Describe a long walk you ever had

Introduction

Walking can be a great exercise for maintaining your health and at the same time the simplest activity. There is no equipment required and you can do this in all situations. Thus I choose walking to be my regular activity.

When did this happen?

Once I had to visit my grandfather, in his native for a family festival. It was a village and the early morning climate was too welcoming for us to have a walk. When I thought of going for a walk, my grandpa said he is also joining me as he had to go to the shop for buying flowers for the worship.

Who you were with?

At first, I was a little resistant because I thought my grandpa couldn’t walk a longer distance. But he proved me wrong once we started walking. Due to his healthy food habits and activities, he was still able to walk 4 kilometers at an age of 70.

Where do you walk?

He took me through the farms, explaining the different crops grown on the farms during the seasons. Then we crossed through several houses, where I was able to find many little children playing happily, elderly people having a chat, women cleaning their houses, and men taming their animals. Finally, we reached the shop and bought the necessary flowers and returned differently, seeing new places.

And explain how you felt about this walk.

This walking experience was so special to me because I was able to enjoy nature’s sound and calm environment. This is missing in cities, as we plug in our earpods once we start walking and the people keep themselves locked in their houses. But here the experience was so lively and I enjoyed it to the fullest.

Conclusion

From this incident I just want to say one thing, that is walking can keep you fit at any age. So always keep walking and maintain a good physique.

Sample 3: Describe a long walk you ever had

Introduction

I am not a usual walker, but at times when you are emotionally down walking could give you space to analyze yourself and get you back on track. I would like to talk about the very first walking experience I had.

When did this happen?

One day after tiring and pressured working hours, I was completely stressed out and was in anxiety. At that moment I missed my bus home and was waiting for the next one. But my mind was so restless to wait and thus I started to walk to my home which was 5 Kilometers away. I plugged in my headset, played my favorite music, and started to walk.

Who you were with?

It was a lonely walk where I was able to spend quality time with myself, which made me realize the mistakes I’ve been doing in my life. That keeps beating around the bush that has been over a long ago.

Where do you walk?

I started walking from my office and took the short route that would lead me home on time. While walking, I started self-analyzing, where am losing my time and why am I not able to overcome my obstacles. As I was walking, I was able to observe different people who are crossing my way, some looked happy, a few sad, angry, frightened, etc. Everybody has their own emotions but were pulled by a force to run in their life towards success.

And explain how you felt about this walk.

This walk became my self-realization situation, where, I was able to talk to myself and sort my things out. I realized a fresh and calm feel, once I stepped into my house. I was able to come up with the perfect solution for all my problems.

Conclusion

I have never known walking has such a mind-relaxing power and this 5-kilometer walk has given me many solutions that I have implemented in my life for betterment. You can also try this if you need a self-assessment.

Sample 4: Describe a long walk you ever had

Introduction

I will be talking about the walk that impressed me the most as it was a midnight walk in heavy rain.

When did this happen?

After a long time, I was on a vacation with my friends in a hill station. From the evening it was drizzling and thus we stayed in our hotel.
Since it was a new place I was not able to sleep and was standing on the balcony gazing at the stars.
My friend who has been a native of this place asked me out for a walk and we started walking down the streets.

Where do you walk?

From the resort we were staying, we took the hill route and started walking on the corner of the road.
Once a busy road in the daytime, is now all still and quiet with only two of us walking.
We were able to listen to the sounds of the insects and the waterfall sound from the distance.
We stopped near a tea stall for a cup of tea attracted by the aroma that was created around the shop.
Drinking a hot tea in rainy weather, and enjoying the hill in front of you is an awesome experience.
On our way, we were able to see a few farmers, who are loading the trucks with the fresh produce to be sold in the market tomorrow morning.
As it started to drizzle heavily, we came back to our resort after a long walk.

Who you were with?

My friend was accompanying me on this walk.
Being a regular visitor of the place, he was able to take me out at the midnight for the walk.
We both talked about everything we could think of and enjoyed our time together.

And explain how you felt about this walk.

This walk gave me a special feeling, as I was able to be in a calm surrounding filled with natural sounds.
The rain has left the city washed and the small droplets from the trees were giving a heavenly feel.
The beauty of the night sky was mindblowing and the natural music created by the flowing river, insects, and birds were just memorable enough.

Conclusion

This walk was very memorable for me. The stills we have taken during this walk remind me of the fresh environment I was able to enjoy there.

Sample 5: Describe a long walk you ever had

Introduction

I would like to talk about the first walk I had taken after the pandemic lockdown.
As the lockdown for the first wave of Corna was put unannounced and it was the very first time to be in the house without being out, the first walk was memorable.

When did this happen?

As the unlocking was in progress, the people were allowed to walk with restrictions.
So reached out to the nearest park, where my friends will also come.
It was like a get-together after a pandemic. Though we communicate regularly through video calls and texts, meeting in person was special.
Being stuck at home and walking only on my terrace, I felt relaxed to be walking in the park with my friends.

Where do you walk?

We were walking inside the park and talked about the experiences we faced during the pandemic.
Everyone shared their work experience, how hectic the simple purchase has become, and our new lifestyles.
Then we spent a little time exercising using the equipment available in the park.
This was a relaxing walk that made us get back to our normal days after a long time.

Who you were with?

I took this walk with all my friends who are available in my locality.
These friends have been a part of my life since my childhood days and thus we had much to share and talk about regarding the time we spent in our houses.

And explain how you felt about this walk.

This walk was refreshing after a very long break, which was imposed on us all of a sudden.
As the lockdown procedures and the pandemic situations are new, the experience we faced was completely tiring.
Thus a free outing after a long break and the togetherness with our friends gave us a special feeling.
How much ever we grow, our ages will reduce, when we are spending our time with our loved ones.
Thus this day remains intact in my memories even after a long time.

Conclusion

To summarize, apart from walking being a refreshing exercise, it is good for our souls to work peacefully.
