Model Answer 1: Describe a special hotel you stayed in - The Imperial Hotel

Introduction

In the hospitality industry, there are several types of hotels available. Each is unique in terms of their food, comfort and services. Now I’m going to talk about a special hotel I stayed in. Its name is The Imperial New Delhi. Right from the reception desk to my room, I was surprised walking into the hotel, witnessing the grand architecture embellished with contemporary sophistication.   

Where is it?

When I say accommodation, the place must give a pleasant staying experience and a second home feel, where I am comfortable and feel safe. One such hotel is The Imperial in New Delhi. This is one of the most preferred choices as it is located 10 km from the New Delhi centre and a 10-minute drive from the railway station.  

Why you went there?

As my father is working in New Delhi, I wanted to surprise him on his birthday and spend some quality time with him. Usually, I book a budget hotel, but as a surprise, I booked the luxury hotel which is near my father’s PG. I booked the hotel online and reached there on time for check-in. 

What is it like?

The hotel was modern, and spacious, and consisted of high-ceiling rooms with all the necessary facilities like a coffee maker, TV, minibar, toiletries, etc. The rooms are kept clean and the ambiance is perfectly maintained for the guest's convenience. You have 7 dining options, spa facilities, and other travel assisting details. 

Explain how you felt about it.

Once in the hotel, I just felt comfortable, calm, and relaxed. I enjoyed every second I was there. The open pools and the restaurant areas are my favourites and I was able to get the complete essence of the stay. 

Conclusion

This stay has been a memorable stay for me and I, therefore, recommend staying in The Imperial, if you are on your visit to New Delhi. 

Model Answer 2: Describe a special hotel you stayed in - The Sheraton Grand

Introduction

Being a student, I have not travelled much. But when it comes to talking about the hotel, I had an option to stay in one of the best hotels in Chennai. 

Where is it?

The Sheraton Grand Chennai resort is located on the East Coast road facing the azure water of the Bay of Bengal. This hotel is located on the seashore and has more than 100 luxury rooms to accommodate its guests. This hotel is an apt place for families to spend their time during a family vacation. 

Why you went there?

After my 12th graduation, my parents want to take me on a vacation. Thus they chose this hotel because it had pools, a beach, play areas, and kid-safe zones. The room prices were affordable and are well-suitable for leisure travellers. The amenities offered are of premium quality and assure safety for the kids visiting the hotel. 

What is it like?

The hotel is well planned and designed based on the 4 “S”, Sun, sand, sea, and South India. It has an ocean view, with a great lawn filled with greeneries suitable for beach weddings and parties. It has a dramatic ambiance that offers a comfortable location for all occasions. 

Explain how you felt about it.

The best part of the hotel is its dining option. Here you can enjoy a 24-hour dining facility. The food menu is suitable for all ages and has special options for children and vegetarians. The seafood menu is well known for its extraordinary taste. I enjoyed the feasts served during the stay. 

Conclusion

I had the opportunity to collect a lot of memorable pictures there and the background was bliss. If I get an opportunity to travel again, my first preference would be the Sheraton, to enjoy the morning sunrise. 

Model Answer 3: Describe a special hotel you stayed in - Casino Hotel

Introduction

I always reserve money in advance when I start planning a trip. I am always particular about the ambiance, amenities offered and the budget of the hotel I am going to stay at during my travel. Here I would like to share my experience of staying in a hotel that was able to meet all my needs. 

Where is it?

With the online help and discounts available, we were able to afford one of the four-star hotels in the city. It is located on the river banks and the rooftop restaurant offers an astonishing glimpse of the sunset. The flowing river sound and the view of the ferry boats across the river made our stay a memorable experience. 

Why you went there?

We went there for a leisure trip with my friends and were able to spend some quality time with my friends. The sports facilities gave us a chance to look back on our childhood days. We had booked a suite and had enough space to accommodate all of us. 

What is it like?

This is a themed hotel with a palace setup. The chairs and beds were designed as per the ancient kings and even the curtains portrayed the richness of a palace. Staying in this hotel was an astounding experience, as we were treated like a royal, and the features offered were of premium quality. 

Explain how you felt about it.

I felt as if I had entered any king’s palace as the ambiance maintained all over the place was similar to a Muglai palace. The smell, the lighting, and even the wall colours were pleasant and made my day. The food was served at the right temperature and tasted like a feast.  

Conclusion

In my opinion, this has been the best experience at an affordable rate. If you wish for a day out in a king's place, you can choose this hotel for staying in. 

Model Answer 4: Describe a special hotel you stayed in - Beach Residency

Introduction

Being a persistent traveller, I had the chance to stay in a lot of places. Few were luxurious, few were average, and in some places I was only able to stay. I wish to share one of the most impressive hotel stays I had in my life. This stay was very memorable and I had the best experience ever. 

Where is it?

This sea view hotel is located on the shores of the Arabian sea. It is a one hour drive from the airport. On the way to the hotel, you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty and the glorious mountains. The trip will be a pleasant memory, you can also stop at many places for a selfie. 

Why you went there?

This trip was a surprise trip planned by my family members for my birthday. We reached the day before my birthday and celebrated my birthday night on the hotel rooftop. The hotel is providing a sea view, from where we can watch the sunrise in the morning and enjoy the breeze in the evening. We stayed there for three days and enjoyed the trip to the core. 

What is it like?

The hotel had planned to offer a premium feel for the customers who are visiting them. The furniture is made up of wood and is carved with beautiful designs. You can find indoor plants filling the room to give a pleasant feel to us. The wall colours are refreshing to the eyes and the screen used were complementing the beauty of the room. The ambiance was very clean and maintained. 

Explain how you felt about it.

Once entered the room, I just wanted to have a deep sleep in the soft bed available. In the evening we were able to spend our time in the spacious balcony playing and singing. Overall the stay was really memorable due to the surprises and the impression given by the hotel.

Conclusion

This stay is very memorable and the moments spent by us there were made even more special due to the hotel we stayed at. I would like to recommend all my fellow travellers to try this hotel once they are visiting the place.

1.   Does the rating of the people influence their choice?

Yes, in the present-day scenario, many travellers look for ratings and reviews online before booking their hotels. The positive reviews about a hotel will be acting as an indirect marketing tool for the hotel. 

2.  How do people reserve rooms?

Generally, people who are travelling for vacation or other reasons book their rooms in advance by online means. Apart from this, they can also make a call to the hotel to book a room. Nowadays travel partners like TripAdvisor, make my trip, etc are making it easier for the traveller to book their room with a single click. 

3.  What influences people’s choice of a hotel?

The factors that influence the people’s choice are travel distance, location, ambiance, facilities offered, food options, budget-friendly, room structure, etc. 

4.  What is the difference between a hotel in our country and a hotel abroad?

 In my opinion, there is no major difference between the hotels in our country and abroad. Nowadays, few five-star hotels can give the facilities that are provided in international universities. The hotel facilities depend on various factors, like its location, viewpoint, etc. 

5.  Which feature is the most important facility you look for while staying in a hotel?

According to me, the most important feature is the cleanliness of the furniture, room, and the restrooms. If the rooms are maintained clean, I will be able to stay even when other facilities like TV, WIFI, etc. are missing.
