I am a movie fanatic. I love to watch movies in the theatre and enjoy myself with the people around me. I am a big fan of Indian actor Super Star Rajnikanth. I like to speak about the movie Chandramukhi where Rajnikanth acts in the lead role.

When did you see this movie?

I saw this movie after my 12th board exams 15 years ago.

With whom do you see this movie?

As a note to celebrate and farewell, I saw this movie in a theatre with my school friends. That was the first time I saw a movie alone without parents or elders. Still, the memories of watching the movie are fresh in my mind.

What is the movie about?

The movie was about a psychological condition called “Multiple Personality Disorder”.This term was very new to Tamil cinema at that time and the movie had a very engaging and thrilling plot. With many talented actors, this movie was a real treat to fans and thus it was a super hit movie.

Why do you want to watch this movie again?

I watched this movie again because it has a different story plot which was new to Tamil cinema. The director has penned a superb psychological thriller with great casting. The stunts in the movie were really fantastic and I was thrilled to watch my favorite hero performing those stunts. I felt the movie was worth watching in the theatre and I was completely entertained for the 2.30 hrs. I always look up to Rajni sir’s screen presence. His charisma and style will pull any audience and as a fan, he is the pulling factor for making me watch this movie again.

Conclusion

Whenever I watch this film, it will rekindle the teenager in me and I will cherish the memories I shared with my friends while watching the film.

I vividly remember that I saw this movie after my college, about 9 years ago.

With whom do you see this movie?

I saw this movie with my college friends. We were around 10 people and thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie with them. We had real fun and shared snacks during the interval. We whistled and clapped for our favorite scenes and it was a lifetime memory to enjoy my favorite movie with my friends.

This film portrays two different personalities. The Hero is an Introvert and the heroine is completely extrovert. The Heroine is Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor who has played a physiotherapist. This is a completely feel-good movie that tells us not to be a fusspot and lead life happily.

Why do you want to watch this movie again?

This movie fills positivity in you after watching and changes one's mind to receive life in a different way. This movie also portrays the sentimental relationships of middle-class families. I always feel positive about watching this movie.

Overall, this movie has both a personal connection and a fan-girl connection. So this will be my all-time favorite movie. I will not miss watching this movie, whenever telecasted on TV.

All these with a simple storyline mixed up with the right proportion of comedy and excellent music made this movie a huge hit in that decade. Casting was one of the reasons for the success of this movie. The complete music album in this movie was a great hit. Good story, casting, and impressive music along with other technical expertise like cinematography made this movie a huge success.

Why do you want to watch this movie again?

I have watched this movie many times and still love to watch this again. The comedy track between the hero and the comedians in the movie is still fresh. This movie was a huge hit worldwide and it marked a 23-week run in Japan in the year 1995. It made a remarkable history in Tamil cinema.

The movie I would like to watch again holds a special place in my heart.  Its captivating plot, and stellar performances, have left an enduring impression on me. So this will be my all-time favorite movie as it has both a personal and a fan-girl connection.

IELTS Speaking Part 3 - Follow-up Questions

1. What’s the difference between watching a movie at home and watching it in the cinema?
There are many differences between watching a movie at home and in the theatre. One can watch a movie in the convenience of our homes, We have the option to select a movie to watch. We can also pause, record and play whenever we want. It is also pocket friendly. On the other hand, enjoying movies on a big screen is always fun. We spend quality time with our friends/family. It all depends on the person and the situation on whether to watch a movie at home or in the theatre.

2. Do young Indians like to watch foreign movies?
Yes, they like to watch foreign movies. Language should not be a barrier to watching any good movie. Now with increased OTT platforms and advanced technology, non-native speakers can also understand a foreign movie with the help of subtitles. 

3. How would you define a good movie?
A good movie should have a strong script, correct casting, and good music. Apart from this other technical details like cinematography, editing, sound effects, graphics, and even the tiniest detail should be proper. It should entertain and educate the audience.

4. Is it important to have famous actors in the movie if the movie wants to be successful?
Always for a movie to be successful the story and screenplay should be the hero. 
In that case, even a debut actor's movie can become a major success. 

5. Do you prefer to watch a movie at home or at the cinema theatre?
I prefer to watch movies in the theatre. The movie's quality will be good if watched in a theatre with the surrounding sound quality, the big screen video quality, and with the fellow audience cheering/applauding/laughing for the scenes. Though, if I miss watching any good movie in the theatre, surely I will wait for its OTT or satellite release and never miss watching it.

6. Do you think that cinemas will disappear in the future?
Though it is difficult to predict this, I see the love for watching movies will not decrease in the near future. So I don’t think cinemas won't disappear in the near future. 

7. How do you discover new movies to watch, and what sources do you rely on for recommendations?
I discover new movies through the web and for recommendations, I greatly depend on word of mouth from my friends, as they know more about my movie preferences. Apart from that, I see genuine reviews on youtube and decide about watching the movie.
