Being with friends is always a cherishing moment. We can spend time with them either doing fun or having thoughtful conversations. I am going to share a thoughtful conversation that I had with my friend.

It happened when I went to the Park with my friends. I talked with one of my friends whose name is Praveen.

What was the conversation?

Actually, my friend got confused about his career. He cannot be able to decide which career path to choose. So, we have talked about how to choose the right career. I said to him that it is important to experiment with various things so that we can get to know our real interests. Recognizing an appropriate interest is the best way to choose a career. 

Why did you have it?

It is always exciting to share ideas with others. As we are the same age, career is an important topic for us. It is obvious that discussing ideas will create new ideas. So, I got into the conversation as we are dealing with more new ideas. 

Conclusion

We can talk with friends without inhibitions. As we know each other, it is easy to relate to others' problems. And, conversing with friends might not remove the problems but at least it reduces the stress of the problems.

Introduction

Conversation with others influences our thoughts in a big way. It will change our course of life.

I know one artist who I met in an art exhibition. Her name is Aishwarya. She is three years older than me and interested in painting. I talked with her casually which eventually built into a good relationship. I am going to talk about the conversation we had in the cafe.

What was the conversation?

Essentially, we talked about the division between doing art for making money and creating different forms of artistic expression. We have discussed that if we make art for people's preferences and likings, we never create anything new. And, it will never change people's thoughts and attitudes towards the world. 

Why did you have it?

Both I and my friend have an interest in arts and literature. It serves as a reason for striking a conversation.

Introduction

In boring times, if we have a conversation with friends, our boredom will disappear. Boredom comes as a result of empty time. As being with friends makes time meaningful, boredom will be dissolved.

I was going on a bus from Koyambedu to Tambaram when I met one person who is actually a stranger to me. He was in a disappointing state since he planned to buy some products but he couldn’t get them. 

What was the conversation?

He started talking with me. The conversation goes in many different ways. He is a newsreader on a news channel. He has a desire to become a media personality. He believes that if we become a popular face among the media then we can earn lots of money. 

Why did you have it?

He detailedly discussed how he reads the news. He said that he has to change the voice modulation in order to speak in a proper manner. And, he expressed his struggles which were exciting to hear. Though I didn’t know it prior to the conversation. Somewhat, I got into the conversation as I sensed it could be interesting. 

Conclusion

Talking with strangers has always been a great experience as we encounter completely different things and perceptions. Meeting new people can change our entire worldview.

Introduction

I love to roam around the city. I find it is a beautiful opportunity to meet and talk with new people. I am going to speak about one of the interesting conversations that I had.

I was on a train travelling when I encountered a stranger. Though he seemed abnormal, he did some sensible talks. He was even angry about society and events happening around the city.

What was the conversation?

He talked about a whole lot of things. One of the problems he kept on talking about was politics and how leaders and ministers are governing our city. Some of the points he talked about have legitimate emotions. He badmouthed all the ministers.

Why did you have it?

More than the content, the way he talked actually is interesting. He has a true social concern but cannot be able to express it in an appropriate way.

Introduction

I had many talks with my friends. I am going to talk about one of the memorable conversations. It was about establishing direction in life.

I had a conversation with my friend whose name is Sid. He is my childhood friend and studied at the same school and college. We both had tea in the college canteen and discussed different things about life.  

What the conversation was about?

We actually had a fun talk but suddenly the conversation became meaningful when my friend expressed his concern about the future.  We thought we should have some sense of direction in life. We reflected on our past and noted down things that we did well and that made us happy. We plotted out our future on the basis of those exceptional things and made a plan. 

Why did you have it?

There is no exact reason why I had a conversation. We usually talk, but this conversation is somewhat more distinctive than others. It was interesting as it became a revelation to us. This rumination about life inspires us to do different things in our life. When I interacted with him, I felt so encouraged and satisfied. The feeling that I have something to do in life is really remarkable.

Sometimes, the conversation could become a turning point in our life. The conversation that I described now has inculcated a sense of direction in both my friend's life and mine.

1. What is the difference between the conversation between men and women?

Generally speaking, men are attached to masculinity and women are related to femininity. So, I guess men talk more about topics related to power such as politics while women touch on subjects of beauty such as fashion. But, still, men and women talk on different topics as the rigid gender structures are disappearing. 

2. Which conversation is better, phone or face-to-face?

I think one can talk on the phone if it is small talk while the face-to-face conversation is better for a long or serious conversation. Personally, I think physical presence is an essential part of the conversation. So, I believe that face-to-face conversation is better than a phone conversation.

3. Why do people get nervous while they give presentations?

Most probably, they could be an introverted person. Introverts don't like to be in a crowd and mostly they hate to be the center of attention. So, it is possible that people who get nervous during presentations are introverts. 

4. Is it important to use visual aids during presentations?

Visual aids can make the presentation interesting. So, using visual aids for a presentation is a good idea. 

5. Why is body language important?

Body language expresses more than verbal communication. It involves gestures, movements, and expressions that convey messages to people. Also, body language is entered into people's minds before verbal communication. 

6. Do you think humour is important for the speaker?

Yes. Humour spice up the speech and can interest and sustain the audience's attention.

7. What kind of speaker do you prefer?

I like the speaker who has the ability to hold attention. He or she should be lively and keep me entertained throughout the speech. 

8. Is public speaking skill important for politics?

In Politics, it is important to communicate with the people and leaders must possess charisma. Public speaking is a way to build communication and charisma. Thus, we can say public speaking is an essential skill for politics.  

9. Are there any disadvantages to a face-to-face conversation?

Yes, there are several disadvantages to face-to-face conversation. Some people could get nervous when they are in front of a person. Or, In some situations, conflict can occur between people, in that time, one person could hit another person. But, overall, there are many advantages to face-to-face conversation. 

10. How do friends communicate with each other?

Friends can connect in multiple ways. It can be via phone conversation, face to face or via the internet. 

11. Who chats more: men or women?

There is no gender dichotomy in chatting. Excessive chatting can happen under two conditions, either a distanced relationship or a person who fears talking in person.

12. What is the difference between chatting and gossiping?

Chatting can touch on various subjects, but gossiping is about talking about a person without their awareness. Chat could contain gossip while gossiping cannot be equated with gossiping. 

13. Who do you prefer to talk to; your parents or your friends?

I can’t say it is a preference. My mode of conversation is different with parents or friends. I talk about my day-to-day life events to my parents while I talk about stuff such as studies, and sports with friends. 

14. Do lots of people have just a small number of friends or many friends?

It's difficult to tell the absolute answer to this question. Some people want to have few friends but establish a deeper bond with them. While other people want to connect with lots of people.

15. How do most people make new friends in your country?

In my country, most people make friends at social gatherings such as marriage functions or other similar sorts of functions. Nowadays, people hugely make friends on social networks such as Facebook or Instagram.

16. Do you think people’s abilities or intelligence is a factor when people become friends?

There are some abilities that could attract people. Some people choose friends with some qualities. I guess, most people look for certain qualities in an individual to connect with them.

17. What qualities do you think a good friend should have?

A good friend has to be trustworthy. We can be open about everything without the need to be worried that our private information could be known by others. Secondly, a good friend must be intelligent. He or she should guide us during our difficult times. 

18. When conversation could get interesting?

Each person has a set of interests. Most commonly, friendship happens when two people share the same interests. Conversation can get interesting when two points of interest touch each other.

19. Is it possible to make new friends easily?

It depends on the person. A person who is open-minded and a good listener can easily establish a connection with other people.

Sports and cinema are the most popular topics in our country. Most people even consume information about sports and cinema.
