Describe An Aquatic Animal 'Dolphin' - Model Answer 1

Since my childhood, I have been interested in learning about aquatic animals. I was always amazed by seeing it. Now, I am going to talk about an aquatic animal which I found interesting. 

When did you see it? and Where did you see it?

The animal that I am going to talk about is the dolphin. I saw the dolphin in a cartoon for the first time, when I was in 5th grade. It was portrayed as a friendly and joyful creature. I wanted to ride with dolphins by sitting on its back. 

What does it look like?

Dolphins are big in size and have smooth and rubbery skin. It is a mixture of colour including white, grey and black. They use their two fins to move forward. When I read about dolphins on the internet, I found it is one of the most intelligent living creatures on the planet. 

Explain why it is interesting?

It is exciting to watch dolphins come out of the water and wag their tails. It is also friendly and sociable. They are even able to develop a language to communicate with others. In the entertainment industry, you can see it often, that itself assures that it is an interesting creature. 

Conclusion:

Even talking about dolphins excites me. It is fun and interesting to watch. It is really an amazing aquatic animal. 

Describe An Aquatic Animal 'Octopus' - Model Answer 2

Introduction:

I remember that I read about aquatic animals in an encyclopedia. It is interesting to know about different forms of aquatic creatures. I am going to talk about octopus, which is one of my favourite aquatic animals.

What does it look like?

The body of the octopus resembles a bag. It has bulbous eyes, large eyes and has eight arms. I read in one book that it has excellent visual acuity, blue blood and three hearts.

When did you see it? and Where did you see it?

My friend invited me to his house for his birthday party. I already knew that he has a different variety of fishes in his house. I saw the baby octopus in his house. He said that someone presented it as a birthday gift. It is a baby octopus. It is really beautiful and enjoyable to watch. 

Explain why it is interesting?

I find its appearance itself an interesting thing. When it comes to aquatic animals, the only thing I know is fish. At some point of time, I came to know about octopus and it shattered all my preconceptions about aquatic animals. The more and more I read about octopus, the more and more it allures me. I found that octopus is an intelligent creature, it has a different variety of techniques to avoid or thwart attackers. Its arms are lined with hundreds of suckers, each of them can move independently which lets it to touch the animal and manipulate objects. 

Describe An Aquatic Animal 'Crocodile' - Model Answer 3

Introduction:

Whenever I go to the zoo, I visit the aquarium without fail. Living in the water could give us a new perspective of life. It is really amazing to conceive a thought of surviving in water. I will use this opportunity to talk about my favourite animal, the crocodile. 

When did you see it? and Where did you see it?

That time, I studied 5th grade. I went to a crocodile park with my mother. I remember that I was really excited at that time. I told my mother that I am going to keep a crocodile as my pet. When I saw the crocodile, it was still. I felt that it was meditating. The person next to me said that it is pretending to be calm but it is very dangerous. 

What does it look like?

Crocodile skin seems hard and rough. It has powerful jaws, conical teeths and short legs with clawed webbed toes. Its tail is long and big and I should say that it has an unique body structure which lets the ears, eyes and nostrils to be above the water surface. It belongs to the reptiles. 

Explain why it is interesting?

I watched one documentary about crocodiles. I learned that crocodiles' ability to survive is so strong. I found that it can survive even after serious injuries and also it has a powerful immune system. It is the biggest reptile on earth. These are some of the reasons why I think crocodiles are one of the most interesting creatures. 

Describe An Aquatic Animal 'Starfish' - Model Answer 4

Introduction:

Generally I like animals which live in water. Imagining what would happen if I became an aquatic animal really excites me. To respond to your question, I am going to talk about one of the alluring creatures, which is starfish. 

When did you see it? and Where did you see it?

When I randomly read some articles on google, I found an article about aquatic animals. I decided to go through it and I read the entire article. Piece of information about starfish triggered me to explore this creature. As a result, I learned a lot more about starfish. This made me go to the aquarium and watch starfish. 

What does it look like?

The colour of the starfishes are either neutrally coloured or brightly coloured. I got information which says that starfish can regenerate their own arms, it has no brain or blood. By saying starfish doesn’t mean that all starfishers are star-shaped. Some of the starfish which cushion starfish are in round blob-like shape. 

Explain why it is interesting?

The first thing that comes to mind is its unusual anatomy. The fact of digesting foods without brain or blood is a really interesting piece of information to ponder. It seems to me like a toy which comes into life. The movements, colours, its features, everything amazes me.

Some people simply love animals. Keeping and playing with pets reduces stress and anxiety levels. It gives emotional support to people who experience loneliness. So, these could be some of the factors that made people want to keep pets. 

2. What should we do to protect endangered animals ?

We could donate funds to NGO to protect endangered animals. Also, educating our society and people about endangered species increases awareness. We can motivate people to keep the environment clean and try to use a recyclable product. 

3. Do you support doing experiments on animals ?

Conducting experiments on animals ensures the effectiveness and safety of new medicines and treatments. But, still destroying animals for the sake of human improvement is pure selfishness. So, it is important to think of different ways to test a medicine and treatments. 

4. Why do some people refuse to eat animals ?

It could be either because of culture or diet. Some people might follow their culture, where they should not eat animals. Or, some people avoid animals as they contain lots of fats that could destroy their health. 

5. What would happen when some species disappear on earth ?

The main and obvious consequence is imbalance in the ecosystem. It spoils the food chain and some plants and animals could starve to death. This affects the whole harmony of the earth. 

6. Do you think that aquatic animals are dangerous ?

Yes, several aquatic animals are considered to be dangerous such as box jellyfish. It has to be dangerous in some form or other form in order to survive.
