Introduction:
Environment is everything that surrounds us. It can include both living and nonliving elements. Here I am going to share about a person who cares about the environment.

Who this person is?
 I am going to talk about Mr. Aravind Chandru who is my neighbor and he is working as an headmaster in one of the government schools which is in my area. Also he runs a committee FASS  (Friends Affiliation of Social Service)which is organized mainly to keep our environment clean and neat.

How you know him/her?
   Few months back I shifted to my area in which I am currently living. At that time after an incident, I came to know about him but I haven’t seen him. Everyone said that Aravind sir is a wonderful human being.

What he/she does?
   Early days when I shifted there I wondered how this particular area was very clean and neat. Even the municipality workers were also not coming to this area to clean then how it was clean and neat. Later I came to know that Aravind sir and his team were doing this job without expecting any income or popularity.

Explain why you think this person cares about the environment.
 Few days back I got a chance to meet him. At that time I asked him, "Why are you doing this work?  He said some years ago he had lost his cow because of this environmental pollution. First I am not clear, then he explained that his cow had eaten the plastic covers and plastic based things like artificial flowers, leaves etc. It was not digested by the cow and it was stuck in the cow’s stomach and the cow has died. From that day he started his work to clear all the plastic based things and cover from the land, which can help both humans and animals.such as a lack of fresh water, habitat loss for wild animals, overuse of natural resources, and even species extinction.

Conclusion:
   As humans, it is our responsibility to care about the environment. We should take some measures to avoid polluting our environment.

Introduction:

• The term environment is defined as the surrounding in which a person, animals or plants lives.
• Here I am going to share about a person who cares about the environment.

Who this person is?

• The person I am going to share was Miss. Sushma. She is a 55 years old woman. 
• She was a social activist for the past 15 years. 
• She is a member of Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam's IRT crew.

How you know him/her?

• First I came to know about her through one of the famous magazines. 
• In that magazine I read about her life history and her achievements.
• Later I met her for the first time about 2 years ago.

What he/she does?

• As she was an IRT crew member she follows the words of Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam.
• Kalam sir has said that tree planting is an important element to tackle climate change  and trees absorb carbon dioxide and are vital carbon sinks.
• With his word Miss.Susma has planted more than 50 trees in a year.

Explain why you think this person cares about the environment.

• Miss. Sushma was an ardent follower of the former president and missile scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
• As a follower of Kalam sir she took this tree planting work. 
• She took volunteers particularly from schools and colleges to join the initiative. 

Conclusion:

• Trees are not only beneficial for the environment, it also helps humans in many ways.
• It protects people from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. Trees are our only source of oxygen, trees are the source of food and nutritions. 
• In my opinion everyone should try to plant at least 2 trees in a year.

IELTS speaking part 3 - Describe a person who cares about the environment follow up questions.

 In part 3 of the IELTS speaking test, the time limit for this part was 4-5 minutes. We have given some followup questions related to “Describe a person who cares about the environment”. It will help you for your major exams.

1. Why should we protect the environment?
     Environment plays a major role in healthy living on planet earth. We all are dependent on the environment for food, air, water and other needs. Clean environment will keep our lives safe and healthy.  So it is important to protect the environment. 

2. Who is responsible for the protection of the environment?
    Earth is a home for each living species. It’s not a single person’s responsibility to clean or protect the environment, everyone should take it as their responsibility and should come forward to protect our environment.

3. What is the most serious environmental issue now?

• Land pollution ( it is caused by human activities such as dumping trash, waste and other pollutants on the land)
• Air pollution is becoming a major issue, it increasing dangerous problem particularly in high-populated cities. 
• Overpopulation( it causes various issues such as lack of fresh water, overuse of natural resources)
