Model answer 1 - Describe a rule that is important in your school or at work
Introduction:
Wearing a school identification card has become a common practice in educational institutions worldwide. It is mandatory for students to wear their ID cards while on school premises. In this article, I am going to share about the rule, how it is important and what happens when people break the rule?
What is the rule about?
In my school, the main rule was to wear the ID card every day before entering the campus. If a student fails to do so, their name will be noted by the security guard, who will then inform the principal.
What happens when people break the rule?
Despite being aware of this requirement, many students choose to ignore it. As a result, they are required to sit in front of the principal's office for the first hour of the day. Additionally, they are given the punishment of writing a memorized poem from our English or Tamil textbook ten times.
Why you think it is an important rule?
The requirement for students to wear an identification card is essential when they are on campus. It acts as evidence of their enrollment and identity within the school community, and also allows them to utilize the university's amenities, such as libraries, computer labs, and the physical education room.
And explain how you feel about the rule.
I greatly appreciate the implementation of this rule by my school, because ID cards can improve security by making it easier to identify students and verify their identity. This measure can effectively deter unauthorized individuals from entering school premises and accessing its facilities
Conclusion:
To sum up, the act of wearing school identification is crucial as it serves various functions. It improves safety measures, encourages a feeling of inclusion, ensures responsibility, and offers practical advantages.
Model answer 2 - Describe a rule that is important in your school or at work
Introduction:
In many workplaces, employees are required to adhere to specific regulations and policies, such as punctuality, wearing identification, avoiding gossip, and maintaining cleanliness. These rules are essential for maintaining discipline and upholding the workplace's decorum. In this discussion, I will focus on a significant rule followed in my workplace.
What is the rule about?
During my employment at the esteemed company ABC Pvt. Limited, there was a stringent rule that required employees to dress professionally every day. Despite the existence of numerous other regulations, such as no eating or mobile phone usage during working hours, this particular rule was deemed the most important and mandatory for all employees to abide by.
What happens when people break the rule?
If a supervisor notices that someone is wearing an inappropriate short dress, they should address it on the same day to prevent it from happening again. Depending on the dress code standards in the industry, the first time an employee dresses inappropriately, they may receive a warning. If it happens repeatedly, the employee may be required to go home immediately and change before continuing to work, or they may be asked to go home and marked as absent.
Why you think it is an important rule?
In my opinion, this rule is extremely important because dressing professionally helps employees create a positive and professional image within the organization. Regardless of whether the dress code is casual or uniform-based, ensuring that one looks neat and put together can enhance the way others perceive them. Additionally, it helps maintain a sense of decorum in the workplace.
And explain how you feel about the rule.
I strongly endorse these rules because they not only contribute to maintaining a professional atmosphere in the office, but also provide several benefits to employees. These include making employees easily identifiable, enhancing productivity, and boosting confidence.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, I believe that adhering to appropriate and formal dress codes is crucial in any work environment. Whether it is a school, corporate setting, or self-employment, dressing appropriately helps individuals appear presentable and professional.
Model answer 3 - Describe a rule that is important in your school or at work
Introduction:
I believe that rules play a crucial role in shaping individuals and their surroundings. Rules are present everywhere and it is important for us to adhere to them in order to maintain a peaceful existence. Today, I would like to discuss a significant rule at my college, which states that students are not allowed to use or bring mobile phones into the classroom.
What is the rule about?
At my college, there is a strict regulation prohibiting students from bringing mobile phones into the classroom or using them on campus. This rule is in place to ensure that students remain focused on their studies during college hours and are not distracted by social media, games, or other applications.
What happens when people break the rule?
If a student violates this rule, they face severe consequences. For example, one of my classmates brought a mobile phone to the classroom for the first time and was caught. As a result, she received a warning from our Head of Department. However, she continued to break the rule repeatedly, leading to her mobile phone being confiscated by the Head of Department. Additionally, her parents were informed about the situation, and she was suspended from college for one week.
Why you think it is an important rule?
Although I find it offensive to bring a mobile phone to college, I believe it is extremely useful. Firstly, it helps reduce distractions and improves students' academic performance. Secondly, this rule is implemented for safety and security reasons, such as preventing theft, damage, inappropriate content, and unauthorized recording.
And explain how you feel about the rule.
I personally feel very positive about this rule because it has had a positive impact on me. It has improved my ability to concentrate on my studies, and I also apply this rule to other aspects of my life, such as studying and working at home. It has helped me excel in both my studies and work.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, while cell phones may not be the best thing to have in college or the classroom, I believe they should not be allowed to ensure a conducive environment for future generations. Additionally, the use of mobile phones can be both advantageous and disadvantageous, depending on how they are used. Therefore, it may be better for students to avoid using mobile phones.
Model answer 4 - Describe a rule that is important in your school or at work
Introduction:
It is a fact that rules and regulations govern us; I believe that without them, our lives would lack discipline. Although my college has numerous rules, there is one that stands out as particularly significant and deserves special mention.
What is the rule about?
Here I would like to share about an important rule in my college: the prohibition of ragging. I vividly recall that on my first day at college, I noticed that some of my professors and senior students were wearing badges that said "say no to Ragging." They then proceeded to explain to us the rule of "say no to Ragging" and the consequences of violating it.
What happens when people break the rule?
Despite a lot of awareness regarding this rule, some students have been carelessly breaking it. As a result, they have faced various consequences such as being suspended from attending classes and losing academic privileges. Additionally, they have been barred from taking semester exams or accessing their results. One of my fellow college students broke this rule by engaging in ragging with junior boys. He was caught by a professor and faced immediate action, resulting in his suspension from classes and being prohibited from taking his final year semester exam.
Why you think it is an important rule?
This rule is crucial because ragging is considered a criminal offense and should not be practiced towards students or future generations. Schools and colleges are places where students learn discipline, respect, and other important values. Therefore, it is essential for every student to follow this rule with determination, dedication, and discipline.
And explain how you feel about the rule.
I wholeheartedly support this rule because I believe it encourages students to be cautious about their actions, such as teasing or engaging in any other offensive activities. Additionally, it allows junior students to form friendships with senior students without fear or intimidation.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, I strongly believe in the importance of this rule. Following it in college helps individuals develop discipline in their lives. Therefore, I consider it crucial to adhere to this rule during my college years.
