Describe a situation when you had to keep silent Model answer 1

Introduction:
Silence is defined as a complete absence of sound. We should keep silent when we lack sufficient knowledge about the situation. Here I am going to share about my experience where I had kept silent.

When it was?
It was about a year ago, while I was doing my post graduation in AFG university at Madurai. During my studies I attended a seminar class in XYZ university near Dindigul. XYZ university has also invited some other nearby colleges to attend the seminar.

Where it was?
The seminar was held at the mini auditorium of  XYZ University. They have invited a professor Mr. Raghu from HG university. He graduated with 4 bachelor degrees and 3 Master degrees.

Why you needed to remain silent?
In that seminar, the professor had started his lecture about a general topic which is related to our subject. Everyone has discussed it with him but I am unfamiliar with the topic which he provided. So I thought it’s better to stay silent and listen to what others were sharing rather than make uninformed or baseless answers.

Explain how you felt about it.
I think I made the right decision because I learned a lot about the topic and my silence helped me to focus and concentrate in the seminar class.

Conclusion
From this situation I learned that being silent in unfamiliar places or at unknown conversations will help us to enhance concentration and learn new things.

Describe a situation when you had to keep silent Model answer 2

Introduction:

  • We all have noticed the sign”keep silent” in many places like hospitals, libraries, schools, yoga centers etc.
  • Here I am going to share about my experience where I had kept silent.

When it was?

  • It happened a few years back. One fine day my college management took us to a library visit only for the English literature students.
  • They decided to take us for a library visit on library day (12th of August).

Where it was?

  • The name of the library is Anna Centenary Library, it is located in Chennai, and it is the first largest library in Tamil Nadu.
  • It has over 450,000 books in all subjects, but we went to visit only the English books aisle.

Why you needed to remain silent?

  • A library is a place where many people  are engaged in various enterprises, some may read or some may do research. So we should keep silent in the library.
  • As it is a common rule that everyone should remain silent in the library. So I need to follow the rule.

Explain how you felt about it.

  • I think that keeping silent in the library is a good rule, because keeping silent will help all the readers to concentrate on their study. Also it will help them to keep their maximum focus on their study.

Conclusion:

  • At last we had a great time in that Library, I had gathered a lot of new information. Also I have noticed that many magazines have published lots of new information.
