When and where it happened?
 
I usually remember the dates if I have any appointments scheduled. But there was a time when I badly missed attending an important appointment.
 
What the appointment was for?
 
I have a pet dog called Charlie. I usually fix an appointment for my dog for a health check-up a week before. As he faced health issues frequently, I fixed the appointment by calling the clinic.
 
What happened when you missed it?
 
I was having my semester exams during that time. My CGPA was low last semester, so I decided to increase it by scoring good marks this semester. And, I concentrated more on my studies and did not think about anything. Unfortunately, I forgot that there was an appointment fixed with a Vet. After two days I remembered that I missed the appointment when my parents inquired about Charlie’s health.

I felt so bad that I missed the appointment. It was my responsibility to take care of Charlie and I felt guilty that I didn’t do it properly. I made sure that I would not repeat the same mistake again. Hence I set reminders on my phone to remind myself about important dates.

Introduction
 
People are busy nowadays, everyone in today’s world is multi-tasking and making use of their time. Hence, meeting people requires an appointment beforehand. 
 
When and where it happened?

I usually fix an appointment with someone only if I’m sure that I would be able to make it. But though we are aware all the time, sometimes we fail.
 
What the appointment was for?
 
I was working in a software company as a team leader and was informed that our client is coming to Chennai. He contacted me to fix an appointment at a restaurant for an official meeting and fixed a particular date, after we had discussed.
 
What happened when you missed it?
 
Early morning during the appointment date, I was not feeling well and got a fever. I called my superior and client and informed them about my health. He was kind enough to understand my situation and asked me to take a rest.

The client traveled from abroad to India to have a meeting with me and my team. I felt so bad for not being present at the moment. But, certain things will happen out of our control and my parents consoled me saying it was fine and told me not to worry.

Time Management plays a crucial role in everyone’s life. If you commit yourself to something and if you ignored it people will not take you seriously.

I would always make it if I commit to something. But there was an incident where I missed an important meeting. 
 
What the appointment was for?
 
I felt some dizziness while working and felt that I was weak. So I fixed an appointment for my full body check-up two days before. 
 
What happened when you missed it?
 
My friends called me on that day for a get-together. Everyone came to my home to pick me up and I was so happy to see my school friends after so long. I started enjoying myself with my friends and forgot that I had an appointment fixed for that day. The next day, I realized that I missed visiting the hospital.

I was worried about my health and I realized health is important more than anything else. My parents started scolding me for my carelessness. I fixed an appointment the very next day and visited the concerned doctor. I promised them that I would not repeat the same thing again.

It is a great idea because most people tend to forget many important dates and events. Setting a reminder on the devices which they frequently use such as mobiles and computers will help remind them and solve many problems.

Yes, I set reminders on my phone for all the important dates like birthdays, functions, meetings, etc.

4. How can modern technology help you keep good memories?

We have the option of uploading the photos and videos in the gallery automatically to google drive. The Google drive will store all our photos and videos and also remind us of good memories by making a cinematic video that happened 3 years ago. So, I believe that modern technology helps us to keep our good memories.

5. Is human memory important nowadays?

Yes definitely. We can take the help of artificial intelligence but human memory is important to store new and important things and use it to be successful in life.

6. Can electronic devices such as smartphones replace human memory?

Our human memory is capable of storing more information than electronic devices and as I said we need memory to learn something new and understand concepts. Our behavior, emotions and everything are interlinked with memory. Thus, nothing can replace human memory.

7. Is it essential to be punctual in your country?

Punctuality is a discipline that everyone is bound to follow to be successful in life and it is not specific to any country.

8. Is it easy to make an appointment in India?

Appointments are made easy today in our country with the help of technology. We have websites and apps to achieve the purpose.

9. How often do you make appointments?

I make appointments if I need to save time in my busy schedule. Making appointments will save us time as it is not necessary to wait and meet them in person. And I think it is necessary to fix appointments in today’s world if you want to have a conversation with them for a longer period of time.
