In the IELTS speaking cue card section the examiner will provide you with a Task Card, more commonly known as an IELTS cue card. The cue card will have the topic on which you have to talk about. You will be given 1 minute to prepare your notes and the examiner will ask you to talk for 1-2 minutes, over all this part lasts for 3-4 minutes. Followed by the IELTS speaking part 3 comes, that is the follow-up question round.

Model answer 1 - Describe an adventure you would like to go on

Introduction

I was extremely thrilled to talk about my upcoming adventure journey here. It has always been my dream to visit Himachal Pradesh in the summer. Just like any other young adult, I hope to go on this trip with my friend, and I have already made arrangements for our adventure trip.
 
With whom do you want to go?

I desire to embark on an exciting journey with my friend, Dinesh. We have been close companions since our time in college. Dinesh shares my passion for adventure trips, as we have previously embarked on one together. Therefore, I have made the decision to join him on this particular trip. Additionally, having him accompany me will enhance the fun and result in unforgettable memories.

When do you want to go?

During this summer vacation, I have made arrangements to embark on an exciting journey to Himachal Pradesh. After conducting thorough research, I discovered that this is the ideal period to visit Himachal as the climate is delightful and ideal for engaging in outdoor activities such as trekking, hiking, and sightseeing. Additionally, it presents the perfect opportunity to revel in the vibrant green scenery and uncover the beauty of the hill stations. 

What do you want to do?

We have planned the trip for 10 days and I made a detailed itinerary. I intended to visit various spiritual sites such as Hidimba Devi Temple and Jakhu Hanuman Temple. Additionally, I was excited to indulge in the mouthwatering and authentic Himachali cuisine. Furthermore, I had planned to embark on a thrilling trek, taking in the awe-inspiring mountain vistas, as well as try out activities like river rafting and paragliding.

Conclusion:

I was extremely thrilled about this trip as I believe it will provide me with unforgettable experiences that will stay with me forever. Visiting Himachal has always been one of my top priorities, and I've heard that it offers numerous exciting locations for adventurous activities. Therefore, I have made plans to explore Himachal Pradesh. 

Model answer 2 - Describe an adventure you would like to go on

Introduction

An adventure is defined as an unusual, exciting, and possibly dangerous activity, trip, or experience, or the excitement produced by such activities. Here I am going to share an adventure that I would go on. 
 
With whom do you want to go?

I planned to go on this adventure trip with my sister, Riya. She is my travel partner. We have already gone on trips to Coorg, Manali and Mussoorie through air and land modes of transport. But this time we planned to go to Ladakh, on our bike. I think this adventure would turn into a most adventurous and lifetime memory for us. Because this is the first time that we plan to go on an adventure trip by bike. 

When do you want to go?

After doing some research, we planned our trip in the upcoming month of April, because I got some suggestions from an experienced person and I learnt on some websites that between April and June is the best time to visit Leh. So we decided to execute our plan during the April month. 

What do you want to do?

I decided to participate on this journey primarily to immerse myself in the extensive bike ride, culture, and traditions of Ladakh. Additionally, I have intentions to partake in activities such as river rafting, mountain biking, and a snow leopard trek. 

Conclusion:

In my opinion, going on a bike trip to Ladakh is an extraordinary experience that every biker should do at least once in their life. As I mentioned earlier, I think this tour would give us countless unforgettable memories and the ultimate adventure.

Model answer 3 - Describe an adventure you would like to go on

Introduction

Adventure sports are activities that are done on land, water, or in the air and are considered to be risky. These activities often involve high speeds and heights. In this text, I will describe an adventure that I would like to experience

With whom do you want to go?

I intend to go on a hot air balloon ride with my parents. Both my father and mother are avid fans of adventure and enjoy participating in thrilling activities. That's why I decided to plan this experience with them

When do you want to go?

I had intended to go on a hot air balloon ride in the coming month. This is because it is my father's birthday month and he will be celebrating his 60th birthday, which is a special milestone known as the diamond jubilee. Therefore, I have organized this thrilling activity to make his birthday truly unforgettable.

What do you want to do?

I have decided to display a banner featuring his picture and some quotes. Additionally, I have planned to give him a gift that he has been wanting for a while. Lastly, I have organized a cake-cutting celebration as a mark of completing our adventure activity and for his birthday. 

Conclusion:

I am eagerly looking forward to going on a hot air balloon ride with my parents. Additionally, I was curious to see how they would react, as it was their first time trying out an adventurous activity.

Model answer 4 - Describe an adventure you would like to go on

Introduction

Adventure is not limited to participating in activities or going on trips; I believe that relocating to an unfamiliar city and settling there can also be considered an adventurous experience. Today, I am here to share the details of the adventure I am going to experience. 

With whom do you want to go?

As I am going to relocate to the US for work purposes, none could be accompanying me. I believe that I can survive there alone and I am hopeful that joining this office will greatly impact my life, as I will be exposed to a new lifestyle, environment and individuals. 

When do you want to go?

I received a job offer letter stating that I should join the office in the US during the first week of November. So, I made arrangements to travel there by the end of October.  Despite being unfamiliar with the city, I am eager to know more about the people, the culture, meet new people, and explore all that it has to offer. 

What do you want to do?

I would embark on an exciting journey by relocating to an unfamiliar city for employment purposes. Initially, I never anticipated the possibility of working in a different city, but fortunately, I was chosen to work at a prestigious company in the United States. I hope to embrace this opportunity and enhance both my personal and professional growth. 
 
Conclusion

In conclusion, I think that relocating to a foreign country without any assistance can be the most thrilling journey I will ever encounter. In addition to my education, it would enable personal growth and enhance my comprehension of life. 

IELTS speaking part 3 - Describe an adventure you would like to go on follow up questions.

In part 3 of the speaking test the examiner will ask further questions which are connected to the topics discussed in part 2.We have given some follow up questions related to “Describe an adventure you would like to go on ”.

1. How do you think the adventure would benefit you personally?

Adventuring not only expands your mind by building up your bravery, but is also an opportunity to grow and learn. New environment and culture are packed full of meaningful life lessons that you might not be exposed to in your everyday life.

2. Do adventures expand your horizons?

Adventure & exploration can also really help us expand our horizons about nature, culture & more. Sometimes, it can also help us have a deeper insight about ourselves. This happens when we let ourselves loose in an unfamiliar situation.

3. What kind of people love adventure? What specific age group?

In my opinion there is no age limit to do or love adventure, because the individual who has spirit, curiosity and the thirst of exploration are some reasons to love adventure. love on adventures based on their interest, the spirit, curiosity and the thirst of exploration are the some reasons to love adventure. 

4. Which one is more interesting, adventure stories in the books or adventure films?

In my opinion I find adventure films are more interesting than adventure stories in the books, because adventure films give us a visual treat, the soundtracks make you feel the movie as real and it keeps the audience engaged. Additionally films are more easier to remember than reading the stories.  

5. What Safety Measures Would You Take Before Embarking on This Adventure?

Before going on this adventure, I ensure by doing research on weather conditions, have proper equipment and safety kits, and will pack all the necessary things like dresses, water bottles, mobile chargers etc. I think it will make my trip successful.
