Describe an event that you celebrated- Model answer 4

Introduction:

We have celebrated many events like birthdays, anniversaries etc. but we should educate our next generation to celebrate our patriotic leaders and the national event days like independence days, republic days, gandhi jayanthi etc.

What was it?

During my school days I have learned many things about our national leaders and national days. Also we celebrate those days with many games like speech, debate, dramas etc. But nowadays I can't find any schools or any public place celebrating the national days or national leaders. So I decided to celebrate one of our national days.

Where did it happen?

I have been living in a colony where there are groups of houses.  So I decided to celebrate the day in the public place within my colony compound, with the elders and the children. I have conducted it with speech competition, debate and singing competition.

Why was it important?

It is very important to educate our next generation about the national days and national leaders and to celebrate them. So I took the first step by celebrating it in our colony.

All the elders who attended the celebration congratulated me. Also some of the children attended our celebration with full involvement. They learned many things about the leaders and our nation. It gives me a good feel by teaching them.
