In this part of the IELTS speaking test, the candidate will be given a cue card which is also known as a task card. Here the candidate should talk about the general topic which is given by the examiner for up to 2 minutes with fluency. Introduction: 
    I am a fan of kollywood movies and also the actors who act in those movies. Here I am going to talk about my favorite actor. 

Who is this actor/actress?
  Saravanan sivakumar, known by his stage name suriya, is an Indian actor and film producer. He primarily works in Tamil cinema where he is one of the highest paid actors. He has received numerous awards including 2 National film awards, 6 filmfare awards south, 3 tamil nadu state film awards and 2 south indian international movie awards.

What type of actor is he/she?
   Actor suriya is one of the most loved actors in Tamil film industry, is well-known for his versatile roles and impressive acting skills. Surya  is a short, fit, and handsome actor. He has short, black hair, black eyes, and a friendly smile. He is usually seen wearing casual clothing.

What are some programmes/movies he/she has acted in?
  Surya started his career in (2001), in Bala’s (Nandha), The film was critically acclaimed and became a turning point in his career as police officer in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s (Kaakha Kaakha), a con artist in Bala’s (Pithamagan) established him as one of Tamil cinema’s leading actors,  In 2005, suriya starred three films( Maayavi, Ghajini and Aaru).

Why is he/she your favorite actor/actress?
   Apart from being an actor, the thing which I admire about him was his social responsibilities. He runs Agaram foundation which helps poor people, especially for those childrens who were not able to be educated financially.

Conclusion:
   He’s the perfect example where star names don't matter if you do not have talent. Even though his father Sivakumar was a renowned actor, suriya did not have it easy during his initial days in the industry.

• Here I am going to talk about the actresses who have played different roles in the television and cinema industry.
• Who is popularly addressed as the “lady superstar”.

Who is this actor/actress?

• Nayanthara is an Indian actress and film producer who appears in Tamil, telugu and malayalam films.  
• She acted in more than 80 films in a career spanning over two decades and has won numerous awards.

What type of actor is he/she?

• She is considered among the most popular actors of Tamil and Telugu cinema.
• She's one of the highest paid actresses in South IndianCinema, according to various media reports.

What are some programmes/movies he/she has acted in?

• Nayanthara made her acting debut with the Malayalam film Manassinakkare(2003).
• She made her debut in Tamil cinema with Ayya(2005) and in Telugu cinema with Lakshmi (2006).
• Her portrayal of goddess Sita in the mythological film Sri Rama Rajya,(2011) earned her the Filmfare Award for Best actress. 

Why is he/she your favorite actor/actress?

• She is the actress madea niche for herself after a fair share of struggles to become the position she has earned over the years.  

Conclusion:

• Apart from her acting career, Nayanthara is also involved in various philanthropic works and supports charitable causes.
• Her success as an actress is testament to her talent and hardwork.

Introduction: 
  Here I am going to talk about one of the greatest Indian actress of all time and among the most imitated ones by other actors. As we all know, old is gold. He is the actor who was founded as gold for the Tamil cinema industry.

Who is this actor/actress?
  Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy, better known by his stage name Sivaji Ganesan, was an Indian actor and producer. He was active in Tamil cinema during the latter half of the 2-th century.  He was known for his versatility and the variety of roles he depicted on screen.

What type of actor is he/she?
   He is  also known as “Nadigar Thilagam”, which means the pride of actors. He was one of the most respected movie actors in India. In a career spanning about five decades, he has donned many many roles and left his indelible imprint in each of them.

What are some programmes/movies he/she has acted in?

He acted in close to 300 movies and almost all in lead roles. The best of his movies are Thillana Mohanambal, Karnan, Thiruvilaiyadal, Veerapandiya Kattabomman, Parashakthi etc.

Why is he/she your favorite actor/actress?

He is the only tamil actor who has the most movies. Comparatively with this generation early 80’s and 70’s generations are the great fans of him. No word to describe his dedication to his work.

Conclusion:

  He was the first actor to win a Best actor award in an international film festival, the Afro-Asian film festival held in Cairo, Egypt in 1960. Also he received the president award for best tamil actor on 12 occasions.  

Describe your favorite actor/actress- IELTS speaking part 3 follow up questions

   In part 3 of the IELTS speaking test, here the candidates will be given some follow up questions to complete within 4-5 minutes. We have given some follow up questions related to the topic of describe your favorite actor/actress. This will help you attain a band score on your exams.

1. Are actors or actresses very interested in the work? Why?
   Yes, I think so. That actors and actresses are very interested in their work. Because if they were not interested in their work, they would not put their full dedication with heart and soul to success in life.

2. Is being a professional actor or actress a good career?

    Yes, of course being a professional actor or actress is a good career. It all depends on their dedication. If one really works with full dedication to their profession, he/she will definitely shine in this profession. =

3. What can children learn from acting?

   Children can learn a lot from acting, both good and bad. Firstly, children were learning dance from acting by admiring their favorite actor/ actress. As well as acting will teach them discipline and patience.  
4. Why do children like special costumes?
    I think children are admired by their favorite actors or cartoon characters. They felt themselve as that character when they wore it.

5. What are the differences between actors or actresses who earn much and those who earn little?

   Actors who earn much are enjoying their life by spending lavishly or wandering around the world or investing money in assets. But the actors or actresses who earn little are suffering from depression facing financial issues.

6. What are the differences between acting in the theater and that in the film?

      Acting in the theater and acting in the film is totally different.  In theater performance actors have to exaggerate facial expressions and gestures in a single take. Also the distance between the audience and the actor is much less than in films. However, in films, actors can take many takes for a single concept, also the entire act which we are watching as the whole film is fully edited.

7. What are the different types of children’s movies?

    Children’s films come in several major genres like realism, fantasy, adventure, war, musicals, comedy and literary adaptations.
