Difficult word is a word which is hard to pronounce or a word which is not familiar to you. Here I am going to share about the difficult word that I learned to pronounce.

What is this word?
  The word which I felt difficult to pronounce is “Dichotomy”. This word is commonly used in Science but also in books or newspapers.

 Where did you read it for the first time?
 I read this word in one of the moral books. They mentioned this word in a sentence as “The huge dichotomy between the rich and the poor is one factor which separates the country.”

How do you find the meaning of the word?
First I started asking my friends and family but they said that they don’t know the meaning of the word. Then I searched in Google and I got the meaning. They mentioned the meaning as- a division into two groups and I learned the pronunciation.

Why you found it difficult to learn?
  I haven’t heard this word before. While reading my moral book I found this word and I felt it was difficult to pronounce it.

Conclusion: 
  So this is the hard word which I find difficult to pronounce these days. Now I have practiced hard and now I am able to use this word in different conversations.

• Here I am going to share about the difficult word that I learned to pronounce. 

What is this word?

• The word which I felt as difficult to pronounce was Idyllic.  
• It is the word which is used to describe a place or experience.

Where did you read it for the first time?

• I heard this word while I was having a conversation with my colleague. 
• It was a fine evening and we had an informal conversation. At that time he used this word with the sentence of “From my cabin balcony, I have an idyllic view of the sea”.

How do you find the meaning of the word?

• While hearing that word, at first I was not clear with the word he used. 
• And I paused his conversation and asked him about the meaning of that word.
• He explained to me that it is the word which is used instead of peaceful, extremely pleasant, beautiful.

Why you found it difficult to learn?

• I felt it was difficult to pronounce. Because it was the first time I heard the word, but I took some time to pronounce it correctly.

  Pronunciation is the way in which we sound the word. Here I am going to share about the difficult words that I learned to pronounce.

What is the word?
  The word which I felt as difficult is "sedulos". The origin of the word sedulous is Latin se dolus, which literally means "without guile."

Where did you read it for the first time?
  I read this word in one of my mail which was sent by my uncle. He sent this mail to say "all the best" for my board exam. In that mail he had mentioned some blessings and tips to write my exams.

How do you find the meaning of the word?
  While reading this mail I was not able to pronounce this word. My sister has helped me to read it correctly with correct pronunciation. She explained to me about the word and where we can use the word.

Why you found it difficult to learn?
  First I was not correct with the pronunciation of the word. Later I practiced it by asking help from my sister.

Conclusion:
  Words can be pronounced in different ways by various people. It depends on where they were living.

• Pronunciation plays a major key role during our communication.
• Here I am going to share about the difficult words that I learned to pronounce

What is the word?

• Voracious is a word which I felt as difficult.
• It is one of the several English words, which is derived from the Latin verb Vorare.
• Which means “ to eat greedily” or “to devour”

Where did you read it for the first time?

• I heard this word from my grandfather. He used this word while telling the story of Ramayana.
• He used the sentence as “kumbhakarna was a voracious eater who can easily consume tons of food during one meal”.

How do you find the meaning of the word?

• Once he completed the story I searched for the meaning for the word. 
• But I haven't got an exact meaning of the word.
• Later I asked my question to my father, then I got my answer from him.
• He explained it to me very easily.

Why you found it difficult to learn?

• Since I was studying in Tamil medium. It was also the first time that I was hearing this kind of English word.
• So I felt it as difficult to pronounce these kinds of words.  
• I heard the word during my school days, when I was studying  in Tamil medium. I am not that fluent in english. So I felt it was difficult.

Conclusion:

• From then I started to understand that the way we pronounce a word will assist us to develop our communication skill.

IELTS speaking part 3 - Talk about the difficult word that you learned to pronounce follow up questions.

   In part 3 of the IELTS speaking test, the given time limit for this part was 4-5 minutes. The given followup questions are related to “Talk about the difficult word that you learned to pronounce”. It will help you to score good marks in your major exam.

1. What was the difficult word that you learned to pronounce?
    To be honest there are too many words which I felt tough to pronounce. But one word which suddenly came into my mind was “Coaxed”. I learned this word from one of the poems Captain Craig- by Robinson, Edwin Arlington. First I felt it was really tough to pronounce. Few were pronouncing it in one way and others in different ways. Later I learned to pronounce it correctly with the help of Google. 

2. How did you come across this word? Was it in a specific context or during a conversation?
  I heard this word while I was reading the poem. Also it was an incident too. While I was reading the poem in front of my classmates, I made the mistake in front of them and everyone started to laugh. I feel ashamed because it strokes my head the whole day. Later I learned it through Google.  

3. What aspects of the word’s pronunciation made it challenging for you?
  For me, I think there are some letters which I feel are tough to pronounce. Like the word starts with “O” like Omnivores, Onerous. And the letter “Q” is like quixotry. So this makes it very difficult for me to pronounce.

4. Did you seek any help or guidance in learning to pronounce the word correctly?
  Days ago I asked for help from my seniors and staff to pronounce the word correctly. But nowadays I have a new application to learn English, with the help of the application I learned to pronounce the word which I felt as difficult.

5. How did you practice and improve your pronunciation of the difficult word?
  I practiced to improve my pronunciation by reading books. First I started reading books which have basic english then day by day I started improving by reading books which have tough words. It helps me to improve my pronunciation.

6. Have you encountered any other words with similar pronunciation challenges?
     Yes, I have seen many words with similar pronunciation challenges. In the beginning I was confused with those words, later I practiced and started differentiating it.
