Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Computers are being used more and more in education. Some people say that this is a positive trend, while others argue that it is leading to negative consequences. Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion
To say that computers have changed the educational landscape is an understatement. It has been speculated that the widespread use of computers in schools will eventually make teachers obsolete. While I can see the value of technology in the classroom, I disagree that computers will ever replace human educators.
It's important to note that computers are generally superior to teachers when it comes to timely instruction and assessment of student understanding. Nonetheless, instructing students entails more than just delivering lectures and administering tests. Professors do a lot more than just give lectures or explain abstract concepts. Learners are taught to effectively extract information and put it to use by teachers who guide them through a variety of activities and motivations. Therefore, educators focus on helping students develop skills in critical thinking, synthesis, and application.
As a result, educators have gotten better at fostering an inclusive learning environment. Students come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, and when teachers are able to enthusiastically acknowledge and positively identify students' cultural and individual differences, they can help eliminate stereotypes in the classroom. Students also respond differently to classroom settings based on their individual levels of background knowledge, motivation to learn, and other personal factors. Teachers can use this case to better comprehend their students' wide range of instructional demands. In other words, human educators have the ability to create individualised lesson plans for each of their students, whereas this is beyond the capabilities of any artificial intelligence.
To recapitulate, it's clear that computers can't replace teachers. Teachers have the power to ensure that each of their students receives the individualised attention and academic resources they need to climb the ladder of success. No amount of technological advancement will ever be able to replace the human element of quality education.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Computers are being used more and more in education. Some people say that this is a positive trend, while others argue that it is leading to negative consequences. Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion
When the topic of using computers arises there are divided opinions. Some are of the notion that it is quite beneficial to use computers in education. Whereas a few others state that using computers in studies are not at all beneficial.
To begin with, a single computer can hold an inconceivably large amount of data, process it incredibly quickly compared to a human, and be unconstrained in any way that a human would be. The vast network of billions of interconnected computers is undoubtedly more powerful in the classroom. Whether we accept it or not, Artificial Intelligence is the future and the education sector would surely embrace it completely.
In addition to this, we have already come to terms with the fact that computers will be used extensively in the classroom, and their use is rapidly expanding. A future generation would find the more adept AI teachers over humans and would decide to banish the classroom-based traditional education. Since machines need to be fed information rather than independently stumbling upon it, the driving force would still be humans, but the method of instruction would undoubtedly undergo radical change. Millions of students, as one example, sign up for online, interactive courses every day to learn new things and adapt to the changing educational landscape.
To sum up, I think traditional teaching methods would change, with teachers preparing digital courses rather than delivering lectures in a classroom, and AI taking over responsibility for assessing students, but this transition will take some time.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Computers are being used more and more in education. Some people say that this is a positive trend, while others argue that it is leading to negative consequences. Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion
The world continues to stress the importance of this type of utility because of its many practical applications. There is still uncertainty, however, as to whether or not this trend will ultimately benefit society. After discussing the potential upsides of computer use, we will examine the potential downsides.
Before anything else, it's important to note that laptops have been in development for more than 60 years, during which time many changes have been made that have had an effect on the present day. To give just one example, the working population has greatly benefited from the development of informatics software that aims to make daily tasks less tedious. people don't have to cram everything into their brains or fill out reams of paper. In addition, technological advancement has made it possible to back up vast quantities of data in physical memories or even clouds, rather than on physical papers, which can be lost due to, say, fire.
Some, however, may consider the potential drawbacks of computers. The increasing efficacy of computers has real-world implications, including the potential for a rise in the unemployment rate. In the past, I've heard tales of people who were content in their jobs but unable to keep up with the rapid advancements in the information technology field. Sadly, it may lead to mental health problems like depression, anxiety, or worse.
To sum up my thoughts, I'd say that the world is changing regardless of what anyone does. Increasing sophistication in computing means more and more electronic gadgets. Everyone, in my opinion, will be forced to accept these shifts and make an effort to adapt. Nonetheless, I'm not convinced that strict monitoring of computer technologies is necessary because of the potential impact on people's actions. Humans have unique skills that technology can't yet replicate.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - Computers are being used more and more in education. Some people say that this is a positive trend, while others argue that it is leading to negative consequences. Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion
Computers and other electronic devices have made inroads into the classroom as technology has progressed. The use of computers in the classroom and the classroom itself is now commonplace. Although some may see this as a good thing, others worry that it will have a detrimental impact on their education. Both sides are discussed in the ensuing paragraphs.
Supporters of the former viewpoint state that traditional methods of education have been supplanted by the use of computers and mobile devices. It's less work for you, but it has a significant long-term effect on the youngsters. For instance, when the entire country went into lockdown when the pandemic hit. Under no circumstances were students to report to school or leave their homes. The entire educational system was closed. If not for computers and other forms of modern technology, there would be no way for students to access their coursework. It's safe to say that nobody hasn't gotten something out of modern technology. This is the driving force behind their recent successes. It was impossible for students to keep up with their studies without daily access to a computer or laptop.
Proponents of the latter view point state that, Some worry that students will become too reliant on technology and stop paying attention in class if they are given more time to use computers. They won't put in any effort to learn and will instead waste their time. As a result, many students become dependent on their computers, which can lead to a host of health problems.
In my opinion, computers should supplement more traditional teaching strategies. While students benefit most from the personal attention of teachers, the internet can also play an important role in the classroom.
