Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Discipline is an ever-increasing problem in modern schools. Some people think that discipline should be the responsibility of teachers, while others think that this is the role of parents. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
For the overall growth of children, discipline is essential. Numerous educational institutions impose stringent standards on pupils in order to discipline them, but many students lack discipline nowadays. Consequently, some claim that maintaining ethical behaviour is the job of educators, while others assert that parents should be responsible for this. Nonetheless, in my opinion, transmitting morals to future generations is a collaborative endeavour.
To begin with, it is definite that parents play a crucial role in maintaining moral behaviour. First, a long-lasting friendship and a strong link between them allow the elders to attentively study the youth for their bad characteristics. Second, parents have a better understanding of their children's behaviour since they are more involved in their activities. Therefore, they can readily recognise and eradicate even the most complex immoral behaviours before they occur. Thus, parents have a tremendous obligation to shape the character of their children.
In contrast, it is evident that the contribution of educators to the inculcation of an ethical code is vital. Because kids are under the supervision of teachers on school premises. Additionally, parents sometimes are too blind to recognise the negative characteristics of their children. Teachers are required to identify and correct children's deficiencies in such circumstances. Therefore, teachers' assistance in the development of children is essential.
However, I believe that parents and teachers should collaborate to instil excellent ethics in pupils. This is because any of them can take responsibility when others are absent. For instance, parent-teacher meetings where both collaborate and work together for the growth of children. Therefore, only the combined efforts of parents and educators could ensure that children lead principled lives.
In conclusion, parental love and teachers' technical knowledge and skill may help in building good etiquette among future generations. Therefore, in my opinion, both parents and teachers should make sure that students do not diverge into bad habits.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Discipline is an ever-increasing problem in modern schools. Some people think that discipline should be the responsibility of teachers, while others think that this is the role of parents. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
Discipline is defined as appropriate behaviour, including time management, responsibility, and rule-following. Some believe that parents should be responsible for their children's education and discipline, while others contend that instructors should instruct them in proper conduct. In my view, both have equal responsibilities.
On the one hand, for the general development of children, the family serves as the primary foundation. Parents are the initial instructors of moral values and fundamental abilities that contribute directly to a child's personality, including discipline. In addition, parents observe their children closely from birth onward, giving them ample time and chances to instil discipline and excellent manners. In addition, children prefer to copy their parents' behaviours, therefore their parents' good models of behaviour will become their own.
On the contrary, schools, and teachers, in particular, play an undoubtedly crucial role in instilling discipline among kids. Schools and other organisations provide a comprehensive education for students. Through classroom instruction and co-curricular activities. Teachers assist students to understand the significance of discipline, and as a result, students respect and comply with society's standards. In addition, children spend the majority of their time at school, making teachers just as influential as their parents at home. Educators can readily identify disobedient students and correct their behaviour.
In conclusion, discipline is an essential virtue in our culture, and it is equally the obligation of parents and teachers to teach children about this virtue. In my opinion, they should collaborate to assist youngsters to develop excellent manners and become contributing members of society.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Discipline is an ever-increasing problem in modern schools. Some people think that discipline should be the responsibility of teachers, while others think that this is the role of parents. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
In the current scenario, maintaining discipline and instilling politeness in kids has always been a desirable task. Some individuals believe that this responsibility is with the parents, while others believe that it is the responsibility of the teachers. In the following essay, both perspectives are discussed.
To begin with, there are numerous students in schools that are mischievous and require regular supervision. Since children spend the majority of their time in school, some argue that instructors should play a vital role in instilling discipline in them. Additionally, due to their influence, teachers may easily instil good manners in their students. In addition, children are more sensitive to the teachings of discipline from teachers because they feel fear of being punished or disciplined by teachers or the principal. Hence, if they are scolded and punished in school for being troublesome then they can learn good ethics and moral values in school.
Others, parents should teach discipline to their children. Additionally, children typically learn negative behaviour at home. Since they do not receive continual parental attention, children have the freedom to be mischievous at home. They may exhibit the same conduct at school. This can be avoided to a considerable extent if parents implement strict standards of discipline in the home. Moreover, parents may appropriately scold their children without causing them unnecessary suffering, whereas teachers' punishments can be humiliating and may cause a youngster to rebel.
In conclusion, I believe that parents and teachers must collaborate on character growth and behaviour change. Thus, in order to combat the problem of disobedience, it is vital that parents and schools work together.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6 - Discipline is an ever-increasing problem in modern schools. Some people think that discipline should be the responsibility of teachers, while others think that this is the role of parents. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
Today, discipline is crucial so that children are well-behaved, have self-control, and do not become social failures. Some people believe that instructors should be responsible for discipline, while others believe that parents should be in charge of this. Both perspectives are examined here.
In addition to educating pupils academically, teachers should also educate them about discipline, which is not emphasised in the curriculum. Teachers should demonstrate the repercussions of disobedience and motivate students to become better individuals by sharing real-life success stories. Teachers should also discipline students for their wrongdoings, such as not completing their homework assignments or not adhering to school rules, among others. Teachers should also do daily behaviour monitoring of their kids. If a kid demonstrates no indicators of discipline, he or she must get individual counselling in order to be counselled.
On the other side, it is incredibly difficult to mould a spoiled child into a disciplined one. Therefore, parents must be strict and demonstrate power, but also show their children respect, so that their children are not scared by them. Parents should also serve as role models and demonstrate discipline to their children, such as by abiding by driving laws, etc. In addition, I believe that parents should teach their children discipline by assigning them chores and requiring them to complete them.
In conclusion, I believe that both sides are equally vital in teaching children the value of discipline. Inadequate parental and school discipline has far too many negative effects on children and on society as a whole.
