Several actions are possible for governments in both poor and prosperous countries. To begin, developed nations have the resources to invest in innovative technologies that will eventually make gasoline-powered vehicles obsolete. Since environmentally-friendly automobiles are already existing, all that needs to be done is to lower the price of electric cars so that more people can afford to drive them. To achieve this goal, governments and businesses might provide financial incentives for the development and production of electric vehicles, such as lowering the tax burden on buyers of such vehicles.

In contrast, environmental damage is increasing over the globe due to the presence of different pollutants. To begin with, air and noise pollution are growing at an alarming rate due to the enormous number of traffic on the roads. To explain, the pollutants produced by these fuel-burning automobiles are not only hazardous to the environment but also contribute to urban noise pollution.
