Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is indisputable that the economy is the prominent factor in every nation's growth, and many people believe that economic expansion should be their central objective. Some contend that alternative pathways to prosperity should be given equal weight.

Finance is one of the most crucial factors influencing a country's degree of development. Statistics such as gross domestic product, net national product, national income, and so on can assist us in appraising a country's progress. Many legislatures emphasize productivity expansion above all else because they understand how important it is to their country’s economic growth. When a country's economy is functioning, new enterprises emerge, more people find steady work, and tax collections operate smoothly. This frees up resources that can be used to improve areas such as the military, public works, and education.

However, another side claims we need to focus on other areas of growth as well. They believe that without essential resources, commercialization would be hard to envision in any substantial manner. Human resources, the ultimate investment, deserves the same consideration as any other aspect of an organization. It's vital to shine a light on not just the core subliminal alignment domains but the secondary ones as well. The comprehensive gap can be addressed by documenting everything from the curriculum to research methodology, facilities, and healthcare centers, among other things.

In conclusion, a sovereign state is not a superpower only because of its wealth or economic force. While significant, there are other factors influencing advancement. A country's overall wealth, as expected, contributes to its overall opulence. As a result, accentuating a specific wavelength does not thrive in the spectrum of a vibrant nation.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

The populace is finding the best ways for governments to develop their country. Economic advancement is usually viewed as a sign of progress. Consequently, strengthening a country's financial outlook has always been a foremost aim for any system of government. However, there is a conflict between people's perceptions of the importance of enhancing aspects such as social peace and public healthcare and the regularity with which these are overlooked. Several, including myself, believe that other pointers of evolution are just as valuable as lucrative growth.

There are three principal reasons why national economic growth is considered so high. A healthy economy has myriad positive outcomes for civilization as a whole. The second advantage of wealth creation is that it allows authorities to increase their expenditures on public infrastructures and services. With financial assistance, the government may enhance facilities such as roads and subways, as well as institutions such as schools and hospitals. Finally, a booming currency can help a country's political influence and trading power.

I would assert that the economic parameters described above are not the only ones that matter and that other forms of development are equally significant. Social justice, human rights, equality, and democracy are all major considerations to address. It is commonly acknowledged that how a society manages its marginalized populations can disclose its moral standards and degree of urbanization. When analyzing the evolution of a modern nation, it may be useful to consider whether or not it is taking precautions toward environmental sustainability and how diligently its inhabitants protect the natural environment. A province's efficiency can also be quantified by surveying its population about its health, happiness, and contentment.

To recapitulate, while economic prosperity is pivotal, other benchmarks of a country's well-being, such as ecosystems and the richness of people's lives, are also prevalent.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Numerous individuals today think that leaders fixate too much emphasis on financial growth at the expense of other, more major aspects of accomplishment. Even while economic growth is typically the driving force behind other forms of development, all of these distinct areas are equally significant.

Economic and social development activists highlight the benefits to both people and communities. When the economy is running well, it is much easier for the average individual to improve their standard of living. People with respectable jobs and prospects can acquire better medical care, housing, consumer goods, and vacation. While none of these elements will guarantee a life of contentment and happiness on their own, when combined, they can provide a firm basis for one.

Nevertheless, economic prosperity underpins other achievements. This is vitally useful in the twenty-first century, as it relates to education, living standards, facilities, and, of course, the state of the planet. One may be forgiven for assuming that in previous ages, the financial system was the prime preoccupation of governments. The chance of Earth experiencing cataclysmic changes in the next century has recently changed this equation profoundly. According to the vast majority of scientific consensus, urbanization, along with the production and consumption of consumer goods, is a major cause of climate change and may end in catastrophic effects for all life on Earth. It would be short-sighted to concentrate just on the financial issues that contribute to environmental degradation.
To sum up, while commerce is the foundation of modern civic society, governments must not disregard other, equally crucial factors such as biodiversity protection. The transformation of the market is a means, not an end in itself.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Policymakers all across the world have objectives they want to accomplish and responsibilities they must serve as they strive to improve their countries. As a reason, many authorities firmly believe that economic growth is the key to success, while others argue that other components, such as a secure and sustainable environment, rich interpersonal values, traditional understanding, and international harmony, are more noteworthy. While I agree that the main priority of a government should be the welfare of its citizens, I do not consider that economic development is the most essential goal.

To begin, despite their material prosperity, many affluent nations are afflicted by increased crime, international antagonism, corruption, and epidemic disease. This signifies that people's living conditions have not enhanced in tandem with the country's economic growth. This exemplifies why a government's primary purpose should not be income development alone. In contrast, if the trade is unstable, a democracy cannot ensure progression in fields such as education, military, healthcare, foreign trade, or social welfare.

Likewise, industrialization and commercialization have boosted economies in many Western and Asian countries, but at an unparalleled cost to the environment. Modernization, dominance in international trade, and the use of cheap labor from other countries are also vital for socioeconomic development. Furthermore, a country's ability to defend itself against external threats, resist infectious diseases, and provide proper healthcare to its citizens is dependent on its financial strength. Certainly, it is also wise to note that adaptation to dynamic changes is the underpinning of innovation and that a society that is focused on maintaining the status quo would be unable to assure a continual pace of advancement.

In conclusion, while economic development should surely be one of a government's top priorities, there are other aspects to take into account.
