Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Missions to explore space are hugely expensive, and there are problems on Earth which demand attention. The number of these missions needs to be reduced. Do you agree or disagree?

As technology has advanced, there has been an increase in worry about missions that involve research and exploration beyond the planet. Due to the excessive cost of space travel, I agree that we should transfer funding and focus on world issues by reducing the number of these discoveries.

First and foremost, it is without a doubt acknowledged that space exploration is important to our scientific community for a variety of reasons. These missions are given a lot of funding. Engineers and doctors are needed in addition to technology and infrastructure. These endeavours recruit the best in their disciplines, diverting their attention from humanity's biggest problems. Additionally, it allows gaps in learning and innovation in certain sectors. The Harvard Research Institute's 2018 study found that 70% of its scientists knew one or two space scientists that could help them with their research.

Space programs are expensive, but they don't make money or save lives. They gratify human curiosity about galaxies. Instead, capital-intensive projects like poverty eradication and portable drinking water can employ these monies. Additionally, these resources can be used to support nations with little resources. NASA reported spending $15 billion on space missions in 2019. However, in 2019, the Cleveland Clinic estimated that it would need $5 billion to provide free medical care to all Americans. This shows that space travel should be limited because it can improve people's lives.

In conclusion, the question of whether expensive space missions should be cut remains contentious. I agree with the idea that these activities should be limited and the funds used to address global issues like poverty and food shortages.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Missions to explore space are hugely expensive, and there are problems on Earth which demand attention. The number of these missions needs to be reduced. Do you agree or disagree?

While there are difficulties on Earth that need to be addressed, space exploration missions are highly expensive. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the frequency of these operations. I share the opinion that solving the current issue would be preferable to spending money on trying to discover the unknown.

Humanity has long been fascinated by space flight. Man has employed a variety of techniques throughout history to discover life outside of the Earth, which is now the only place where it is possible. In contrast to travel between two nations, going from one planet to another requires special equipment. In addition, before beginning an adventurous adventure, travellers need to receive training. Therefore, it costs money to carry out a space mission in terms of both resources and labour. On the other hand, uncharted regions of the Earth call for financial support. Disasters including earthquakes, cyclones, and poverty are affecting many nations. These accidents cause human lives to be lost, and no assistance was provided.

Before sponsoring research, the government should take its citizens into account. While studying other planets is vital, it is not as important as providing aid to countries that are in need. It is not necessary for the government to halt all space exploration efforts; rather, careful financial management is essential.

In conclusion, as was mentioned before, a phenomenon that has not been investigated by human eyes is always going to be set up to be more intriguing. Nevertheless, our first focus is the location that we inhabit at the moment.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Missions to explore space are hugely expensive, and there are problems on Earth which demand attention. The number of these missions needs to be reduced. Do you agree or disagree?

Because space exploration takes a lot of money and time, other problems that a lot of people face on Earth get less attention. People think that we can solve these problems by cutting down on the number of space missions. This essay will talk about why I think it's up to each country to decide how much money they want to spend on space travel and solving other problems.

We've come a long way since the first step on the moon. We have been able to find out about changes in the weather in time. Even though these missions didn't tell us about global warming until it was too late, the satellites that roam the sky have helped us connect the whole world. So, I think that these countries, especially the wealthy ones, can keep going on their space missions. These missions can help everyone a lot by letting us know quickly when changes are happening on Earth.

But there are other problems that also need a lot of attention, like hunger, poverty, bad health, and lack of education. It is also the governments' job to pay attention to these problems. Developing and less-developed countries should only worry about these issues. Spending most taxpayer money on space exploration rather than solving other key problems can cause social instability. India spent a lot of money on a failed lunar journey, which could have been used to improve people's lives. In short, money needs to be put toward space missions and other problems in a smart way.

To conclude, space exploration distracts from other issues, but sector budgets should be based on the country's economic situation. This is the only method to conquer alien worlds and address global challenges.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - Missions to explore space are hugely expensive, and there are problems on Earth which demand attention. The number of these missions needs to be reduced. Do you agree or disagree?

These days, numerous nations compete with one another over space exploration. Space exploration should involve fewer flights as flying is expensive and there are many problems on Earth that need to be addressed. In this post, I'll explain why I wholeheartedly concur with the notion that there should be fewer missions.

The focus required to explore space and see how it appears spans years. Some people like to look for a new home and wish to learn more about it. It is undoubtedly incredibly expensive to take a journey like this in today's society, where many people struggle to make ends meet and locate employment. For instance, some parts of Asia and Africa lack access to clean water and food, therefore the governments of those regions may strive to find a solution and assist this underprivileged society. In addition, there are a lot of issues with health and education.

The pollution did, in fact, get worse over time. The reason for this is due to the flying motion caused by travel and space missions. In this case, lowering the number of flights could help to preserve the environment and promote the idea of an ecosystem buddy. By choosing a private company, they are in charge of maintaining the environment's cleanliness and creating more green space in urban areas. Despite the fact that it would have a detrimental impact on the economy, it will also produce the best results for the county's natural region.

In conclusion, emissions for space exploration must be reduced in the upcoming years so that our children can continue to grow up in a healthy environment.
