Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Nowadays modern modes of transport are available. Still, some people believe a bicycle is the best way to get from one place to another. Do you agree or disagree?

As industrialization and modernization are increasing, the modes of transport are changing and evolving. In the last decade, the use of vehicles has boomed, and the use of bicycles has decreased. Today, many new modes of transport are available to go from one place to another, but still, some people think the bicycle is the best mode of transportation. I disagree with this statement that the bicycle is the best way of transportation in this phase of time.

Although bicycles are great for short distances and staying healthy, for long distances, people have no choice but to resort to modern modes of transportation such as cars, motorbikes, bicycles, buses, and trains. These vehicles work quickly and help us meet deadlines. For example, a recent  World Trade Organization report found that countries with extensive road and rail networks to support modern rapid transit have higher GDP growth rates than countries that do not. It depends on the mode of transport.

Also, it is not suitable for all groups such as disabled people, elderly, and working women. In addition, it is not suitable for all requirements, such as long-distance business or overseas travel, shopping or formal meeting, etc. Also, it does not provide the privacy that a car provides. We cannot read newspapers or work on our laptops while cycling, but cars do offer these services.

To conclude,  although bicycles are eco-friendly and can reduce pollution in the country, due to the hectic schedule of people in the world, people use vehicles to avoid wasteful time.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Nowadays modern modes of transport are available. Still, some people believe a bicycle is the best way to get from one place to another. Do you agree or disagree?

During modernization, transportation systems are necessary for everyone, not bicycles for the community to move from one place to another. However, the bike is the cheapest way, good for the body, environmentally friendly, and has many advantages, but it is used for some distances. I think it's better for everyone, but the approaching transport is the fastest way to get around. I agree with the statement which I will expand on in the following paragraphs.

There are several reasons why bicycles alone do not completely solve traffic problems. First, it is manual and therefore time-consuming. In today's competitive age, time is an important factor in everyone's life. Second, it has a lower resilience, you may not carry more than one or two people at a time. Third, it's only useful for moving around in tight areas. A person is not allowed to ride a bicycle on a highway or dual carriageway.

In addition, modern vehicles can easily transport people and goods over long distances. Not only is it safer and easier to use, but also it supports bulk transportation and increases trade. Bicycles, on the other hand, are neither practical nor suitable for mass transport. A recent study by the Pew Research Center found that the number of goods and people carried by rail in 2016 was equivalent to all goods and people in the previous millennium.

To conclude, as transporting on a bicycle is time-consuming and manual, the rider has to put effort while driving and has to sacrifice in personal life, that's the reason using public transport and personal vehicle for transport are more beneficial.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Nowadays modern modes of transport are available. Still, some people believe a bicycle is the best way to get from one place to another. Do you agree or disagree?

Advances in modern technology indeed offer many efficient and innovative means of transportation. The bicycle is certainly an economical, efficient, and clean means of transport, but I think in today's time where every second is important for people,  it cannot be a means of transport for all people and all needs.

Although bicycles are great for short distances and staying healthy, they cannot be used for long and adventurous trips like trekking or mountaineering. For long distances people have no choice but to resort to modern modes of transportation such as cars, motorbikes, and bicycles. Bus and train. For example, a recent World Trade Organization report found that countries with extensive road and rail networks to support modern rapid transit have higher GDP growth rates than countries that do not, depending on the mode of transport other than traditional transportation.

Also, it is not suitable for all groups such as disabled people, elderly people, and working women. It is also not suitable for all requirements, e.g. long journeys or trips abroad, errands or formal meetings, etc. Also, it does not offer the privacy that a car offers. We can read newspapers or work on our laptops while cycling, but bicycles do not offer these services.

To conclude, I think cycling is a healthy and environmentally friendly way to get from one place to another. However, it is not the best way as it is useful for traveling in a limited area. Also, it cannot meet everyone's different requirements based on their carry-on baggage expectations.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - Nowadays modern modes of transport are available. Still, some people believe a bicycle is the best way to get from one place to another. Do you agree or disagree?

Modern modes of transportation have played an important role in the advancement of human civilization. The speed of trade and development increased rapidly as people switched from cars and automobiles to cars and trains. I don't think bicycles are a practical or efficient means of transportation in the 21st century.

There are a number of reasons why bicycles alone do not completely solve traffic problems.

Not only is it safer and easier to use, but it also supports bulk transportation and increases trade. Bicycles, on the other hand, are neither practical nor suitable for mass transport. Also, by using cars and bikes, one can reach its destination and workplace on time and can save energy for doing work over there.

In conclusion, as the bicycle is time-consuming and manual, most people in today’s time prefer to travel in their cars and private vehicles, and also in a car almost 4 to 5 people can travel which can reduce traffic problems, especially in a country like India, China, etc., and also one can only ride a bicycle in the city area, not in the highway.
