On the one hand, there are many in the general public who contend that a business should adhere to local customs. The key justification is that it fosters intercultural understanding and displays respect. If a foreigner doesn't adapt, locals may think they're rude, inconsiderate, and weird and avoid them. Additionally, breaking conventions might be deadly. For instance, Americans travelling to the UK must drive on the left side of the road in order to avoid traffic accidents.

On the other hand, some people think that residents should respect foreign cultures. People have the right to follow their own paths, which is the basic justification for this. No culture is superior to another, they contend, and the host nation has no right to require visitors to adhere to its cultural norms. Additionally, allowing visitors the flexibility to go their own way will improve tourism in the host nation. For instance, tight dress regulations and prohibitions on alcohol consumption prevent many people from travelling to other nations.

In conclusion, both arguments, in my opinion, have merit. All things considered, however, I tend to think that the host country has no right to obligate their visitors with a warm welcome because it can be challenging to change and adapt to new lifestyles when one has just moved to a new area, whereas I think that accepting differences is much easier for the hosts who are at home.
