Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - The mass media, including television, radio, and newspapers, have great influence in shaping people's ideas. To what extent do you agree?
The radio, TV, newspapers, and the internet significantly impact people's lifestyles, ways of thinking, and habits; since the invention of this tool, the impact is readily apparent in our daily lives and surroundings. Some say mass media shape people's ideas. Some say the media can't fully affect people. I think both views are valid.
To start with, tabloids and magazines primarily influence people's behaviors and beliefs due to their coverage of politics. Due to the fact that the audience will never meet prime ministers or presidents in person, their opinions are formed based on websites and broadcasts. They have affected our ideas and opinions regarding events, places, and individuals. Global audiences share a common interest in music, fashion, and films due to social media advice influencing fashion and taste trends through publication. The Internet, radio, and newspapers influence societal perspectives. Billie Eilish would not be as popular without the Internet's global reach.
However, all three media outlets provide local and international news that is current. This demonstrates that they have the viewer's confidence in their ability to provide accurate and factual information, as such details undergo extensive screening and numerous editing processes before being shared with the public. This is why the public has faith in them. The BBC, CNN and numerous other news networks demonstrate this.
To conclude, considering everything stated thus far, I am convinced that the influence of the mass media is significant. This is due to the influence of the media on the formation of political positions and the evolution of social trends.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - The mass media, including television, radio, and newspapers, have great influence in shaping people's ideas. To what extent do you agree?
People in the present period argue that mass media has a large influence on how we live our lives. The role of the media, newspapers, and other platforms, on the other hand, is to inform, educate, and entertain the public. The majority of society supports it, but the rest opposes it. The essay that follows will highlight my personal viewpoint as well as an appropriate illustration.
First and foremost, television and newspapers influence people by disseminating bogus news that lacks scientific backing. Second, most people spend their free time exploring and acquiring new ideas. Third, TV channels exaggerate worldwide events in order to earn large sums of money and boost their channels' TRPs. Fourth, the media can depict any evil person in a positive light or vice versa. As a result, some people began to trust the bad characters.
On the other hand, mass media is a massive medium for connecting people from a vast population and transmitting the same information to them all at the same time with the goal of transforming or informing them. As a result, it has the potential to create job possibilities for the unemployed. Furthermore, medical experts can broadcast health education to educate the public on how to stay fit and eat healthily. Some disorders, such as hypertension and diabetes, may benefit from this.
In conclusion, we cannot doubt the media's impact on individuals' attitudes and lives. However, the media cannot a profound effect on people since some ideas, beliefs, and attitudes are deeply rooted in our culture and cannot be altered.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - The mass media, including television, radio, and newspapers, have great influence in shaping people's ideas. To what extent do you agree?
The environment that a person lived in from birth until death may have had an impact on their mindset. The primary source that could convey a wide variety of information to the vast majority of people in every community is mass communication. I completely concur that these concepts would be important in the formation of their beliefs and perceptions.
First and foremost, we regularly consume information from the media, such as news and advertisements, which influences how we think. Our phones frequently display media advertisements, the purpose of which is to gradually change the way we think by ingraining the message into our minds. Second, media companies employ famous people or online idols to attract viewers, particularly young people today who frequently look up to celebrities and idols as role models. This makes it simple for the media to influence young people's thoughts and gradually mould them in the direction that they desire.
On the flip side, the audience will never meet presidents or prime ministers in person, so their thoughts are formed based on websites and broadcasts. On the other hand, television and newspapers are influencing people by disseminating fake news without any scientific evidence. They have influenced the events, places, and people we think about and feel about.
To sum up, the media greatly affect how we think in our daily lives. Because of this, it's crucial for us to distinguish between what is plausible and reasonable and those who are attempting to control our thoughts.
