Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - The youth in many countries are unemployed and unskilled. While at the same time, the military services are in need of people. Compulsory military service is beneficial and necessary. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, how often adolescents should perform a mandatory military duty is a sensitive issue. Some individuals claimed that perhaps the positives exceeded the drawbacks. I disagree with that perspective. The following points will illustrate my viewpoint.
Initially, based on their financial utility, military assets can replace humans not only during the time of their function but also for their quantity. To be precise, it can meet people's needs. The authorities can purchase a high-tech machine or lethal weapon that will be controlled by technology and can be handled more accurately than a living man. Furthermore, a well-trained force needs between three and five years to complete the training, whereas an automatic weapon can be deployed immediately after acquisition. Moreover, residents must contribute to a skilled commander's salary till his demise. Instead of supporting the military, I would rather pay taxes for long-term consumption of amenities.
Furthermore, I suggest that youths should receive an education to gain insight instead of enlisting in the military. Similarly, a percentage of youngsters around the globe lack workforce abilities and employment. And, enlisting in the military cannot give them the training they need to acquire more practical abilities and obtain a successful career. Adolescents who joined the military do not receive any general information, whereas adolescents who attended school received a variety of skills from an educational facility and afterwards obtained stable jobs.
To end, I maintain my opinion that I disagree that compulsory military involvement is beneficial and necessary for youths. Progressing slowly, based on economic worth and the significance of education for young people, I believe this is not a suitable way.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - The youth in many countries are unemployed and unskilled. While at the same time, the military services are in need of people. Compulsory military service is beneficial and necessary. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Even though we move into the 21st century, several nations still require combat services. Even though unemployment is widespread in so many jurisdictions, and mandatory military service is advantageous both for the individuals as well as the nation, I think its consequences should be evaluated.
There are numerous ways in which military service helps both the nation and the military person. Initially, compulsory military service contributes to the development of a powerful force that is always prepared to defend the country's law. This force is vital for swiftly responding to national security-related threats. Furthermore, participating in the military affords young people opportunities for personal development and progress. Soldiers are frequently viewed as efficient, organized, and proficient time managers. Trainees can acquire skills and attitudes that are very applicable to the civilian job. In addition, military experience might increase a person's resistance to adversity, particularly in difficult circumstances.
On the contrary hand, individuals reject involuntary recruitment for a variety of reasons. The proposal's effects on the children should always be carefully reviewed. When young individuals are recruited for compulsory combat service, they are frequently at the top of their brain capability. This slows both the study of higher learning and the admission of persons into the military labour market. Moreover, compulsory service violates the freedom of choice of citizens. Many young people cannot handle the tremendous amount of pressure in the military.
To conclude, it is correct that necessary military duty is favourable, but voluntary service is much more beneficial.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - The youth in many countries are unemployed and unskilled. While at the same time, the military services are in need of people. Compulsory military service is beneficial and necessary. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
All of us are aware that military duty is obligatory inside some nations whereas it is not in others. Individuals living in countries with compulsory military service find this an issue. Undoubtedly, some unemployed and uneducated people are eligible for service in the military, however, these people may well not desire to serve. In addition, compulsory service duty is an obstacle for brilliant people who graduate from college and pursue a job, since it interrupts their work opportunities. Due to these factors, military duty should not be mandatory; rather, it should be voluntary.
Although certain individuals are jobless and uneducated, the administration should not urge them to join the military because it is accountable for their unemployment. Additionally, the government should create new opportunities for their employment and education. The government can support individuals' decisions to enlist in the armed forces, regardless of the government's options and possibilities.
Besides controlling the position of jobless and untrained individuals, the authorities should impose military service on those with a solid education and career. These individuals have already chosen their career and way of life, thus mandatory military duty can interfere with their assignments and studies. Therefore, governments and military services cannot gain from the additional value of these individuals.
To conclude, military service is valued and is about both nationalism and patriotism. Hence, the country where military services are mandatory cannot mandate military service. It needs to be a volunteer program that is also professionalised. Perhaps, the government should recognize this scenario and implement the necessary measures.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - The youth in many countries are unemployed and unskilled. While at the same time, the military services are in need of people. Compulsory military service is beneficial and necessary. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, in a number of nations, the force frequently lacks manpower, whereas a large number of young people are uneducated and jobless. People have claimed that it is necessary to force youngsters to join the Armed Forces. I believe that this idea does have several advantages as well as disadvantages which will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
Military training is extremely difficult, but as a result, the youngster will be more sophisticated and skilled upon accomplishment. Some teenagers are habituated to receiving assistance from their parents and community, so they lack motivation and responsibilities. Because of this, they were jobless and incompetent. With mandatory military duty, young people can devote a great deal of time to practising creative skills, including fighting, endurance, education, etc. In fact, they should always follow the colonel's rules and regulations in order to avoid being punished. Organizations place a significant emphasis on the numerous useful skills, personality, consciousness, and cooperation that young people learn.
In contrast, youngsters can think about joining the military as a potential career, and mandatory army service is a requirement. The military is always prepared for every circumstance, requiring a large number of soldiers. Today, the army is involved in numerous facets of society, including national defence, economy, and education. Not only do soldiers safeguard their countries, but they also contribute to the development of their country.
In conclusion, the government should take measures that young people undertake service in the military for a suitable amount of time in order to prepare themselves.
