Sample 1 - Describe a dinner you really enjoyed

Introduction

We have attended many functions and celebrations in our life and food is the main part of any function. I once attended a function that I can still remember.

When was it?

This was during a party I attended hosted by my friends who got a job. They invited me to this party as they were giving a treat to their friends because they got a high-paying job. The party started at 8 pm.

What did you eat?

There were a lot of counters for different types of foods. They also served drinks before we started eating. I had pizzas, burgers, pasta, noodles and also some drinks. I saw many varieties of fried Indian food. But I was not able to take it because I was full already.

Who you were with?

I was with my school friends as it was the party held by my friends from school. I arrived there with 3 of my friends who stayed near my house and met the rest of my friends at the party hall.

Why do you enjoy it?

I never had seen such a variety of foods all at once and everything I had was delicious. I also enjoyed the drinks and felt that it was the best dinner I have ever had.

Conclusion

It is common for all of us to attend parties and celebrations. But there are some celebrations that we really enjoy and stay in our minds later on.

Sample 2 - Describe a dinner you really enjoyed

Introduction:

The best food that we eat is always the food that we get from our homes that our mom cooks for us with love. I want to talk about the dinner I had long back before I shifted to a new city for work.

When was it?

This was when I got a job in a different place and I had to stay far away from my home. It was a very sad time for me and my family as I didn't have any experience of staying away from my home during my studies. So my mom wanted to cook me a special dinner before the day I left home.

What did you eat?

I had my favourite chicken curry with rice along with a side of fried gobi and mushrooms. After that, I had a small bowl of carrot halwa which is a dessert that I like very much. I never had a tastier chicken curry anywhere else in the world.

Who you were with?

I was with my dad, mom and brother and some of my cousins had also come to see me off. It was an emotional moment for me as I didn't know when I would be seeing them next time.

Why did you enjoy it?

I enjoyed the dinner even though it was my last dinner at home for at least a few months after that. I didn't know when I could eat this tasty food again as I was leaving for a faraway city and didn't know when I would return back home. I was sad to leave but I made sure I enjoyed my food to the maximum before I left.

Conclusion

So many people face this situation. We have the opportunity to eat homemade food every day when we are at our homes. But when we leave our homes behind, we actually value the food cooked there.
