In India, there are many historic sites to visit as you travel from the north to the south and from the west to the east. This is a testament to our country's genuinely rich culture. a location where tourists from all over the world travel to explore this cultural heritage.

What kind of place it is? 
I'd like to talk about the "Hawa Mahal," a historically significant structure that is unlike anything else.

What does it look like? 
The Hawa Mahal is a five-story structure and the tallest structure ever constructed without a foundation. Its curved architecture, which leans at an angle of 87 degrees, and pyramidal shape have enabled it to stand upright for centuries.

Where it is?
It is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. To be honest, Rajasthan is considered to be quite rich in cultural heritage and people still follow the same customs and traditions that were followed in yesteryears.

And explain how the place is related to history?
 For many individuals the impact of contemporary trends in heritage and environmental protection, globalisation, urbanisation, electronic media, increases in travel, and climate change can be critically assessed using the history of places as a foundation.

As an Indian, I am proud of many aspects of the historical heritage of my nation, especially the historical sites that have preserved my nation's spectacular and rich past for countless generations. All India’s old structures and notable historical sites drip with history, depicting tales of romance, courage, strength, and conflicts. 

What kind of place it is? 
The place that I love the most is stonehenge.

What does it look like? 
International significance can be attributed to the complexes of outstanding prehistoric monuments found at the Stonehenge, Avebury, and Associated Sites World Heritage Site. Avebury is the largest prehistoric stone circle in the world, while Stonehenge is the most architecturally complex. It is 5000 year stone stonehenge monument

Where it is?
It is situated in Wiltshire, England, which is shown here bathed in pastel twilight.

In this modernising era, we completely forget about the preserved and maintained historic spots and monuments throughout the globe. I have visited numerous historic places but amongst them I would like to share about the most enticing monument namely- Parthenon.

What kind of place it is? 
Since democracy was established in Athens during this time, and as a celebration of the Athenians' victory in the Greco-Persian Wars, the Parthenon is frequently seen as a monument to both of these events. 

What does it look like? 
The building has a rectangular floor plan and is supported by a base measuring 23,000 square feet, part of which was the Old Parthenon's limestone foundation. Each side of the structure was surrounded by low steps, and the perimeter was framed by a portico with Doric columns rising from a platform.

Where it is?
It is located in Athens, Greece.

India is rich in it’s culture and tradition and all these come from the historic places that we have in our nation. Each and every historic place has its own history and scientific findings to believe it.

What kind of place is it? 
A peculiar phenomenon is observed in Jagannath Puri, where the flag flying atop the temple moves in the opposite direction of the wind. Additionally, it is said that the food is always sufficient and is never more or less than what is needed to feed all of the visitors to the temple on a given day.

What does it look like? 
The main temple of Shri Jagannath is a stunning and impressive Kalinga-style building with a height of 65 metres situated on a raised platform. Sri Jagannath celebrates a number of festivals throughout the year in Puri. The idol of Jagannath is a carved and embellished wooden stump with prominently absent hands and legs and a symmetrical face with large round eyes. The rituals, sacraments, and worship practices connected to Jagannath are syncretic and include practices that are unusual in Hinduism.

1. How do people in your country feel about protecting historic buildings?
In my perception, the majority of individuals in my nation approach dealing with and preserving historic structures pragmatically. In other words, they support preserving buildings that can be saved without compromising or changing their original designs and structures and oppose tearing down old, weather-damaged structures that have completely lost their structural integrity. Additionally, our government has a strict policy for protecting historic structures, and the general populace generally supports all of their efforts.

2.  Do you think an area can benefit from having an interesting historic place locally? In what way?
The pros of historic structures that are categorised as "local" or "international" shouldn't, in my opinion, be measured differently. Considering that many local sites and locations that are home to historic buildings also benefit economically and culturally from the frequent visitor traffic to those historical sites. Additionally, a lot of these locations are the subject of government-sponsored development and beautification initiatives, ostensibly in an effort to improve the organisation and appeal of those historic locations to tourists.

3. What do you think will happen to historic places or buildings in the future? Why?
To begin with, a few strange exceptions, the future of many of these historical sites appears rather gloomy. This is because, in addition to the fact that many of these locations are getting too old to be preserved, maintaining and protecting these sites is also becoming increasingly expensive for many nations worldwide. Additionally, in many cases, the demands for commercial development and infrastructure improvements will likely outweigh the needs for safeguarding and maintaining those historical sites, which means many of these sites will likely be destroyed in the future to make room for the construction projects.

4.  How were you taught history when you were at school? 
In my nation, history is taught to all students by making it a required subject in their curricula. High school students are especially required to take "history" as part of their curriculum. I studied history as well, and I enjoyed it, so it goes without saying that I was no exception. And I liked it because, in many cases, my history teacher used to cite historical and interesting examples and references that weren't typically covered in our textbooks to make the subject for us all rather interesting. We occasionally travelled to significant historical locations so that we could experience them firsthand and gain knowledge from them. A single or twice a year expedition was extremely uncommon.  

5. Are there other ways people can learn about history, apart from at school? How?
There are some other ways besides schools that we can learn about the past. For instance, we can learn it by watching various TV shows that discuss various historical events. In fact, a TV channel called "History" is dedicated to serving this function. Additionally, individuals can learn about a variety of fascinating historical occurrences and facts by visiting a "History" museum, which keeps a wealth of information about the development of our planet. Additionally, extensive travel can expose us to the histories of various locations and cultures. In addition to browsing the history of our world and civilization on the internet, reading some fascinating "history journals" at a library can also be a great way to learn history.
