Describe a person who motivates you Model Answer 1
Introduction
We owe a lot to some of the individuals in our lives, as they have helped shape who we are now in some way. I would love to share a personal experience where I was motivated by a friend.
Who is this person?
My friend Charu, whom I look up to greatly, recently motivated me to enrol in swimming lessons for a variety of reasons. Let me start by stating that I have hydrophobia. I really can't go near lakes, rivers, or other bodies of water, like beaches. She, on the other hand, is a travel enthusiast and a vlogger who adores visiting locations like this, and every time she shows me her photographs of sailing on a boat, rafting on a river, or enjoying beach sports like scuba diving and snorkelling, it makes me want to visit such locations.
What does this person motivate you to do?
She is a childhood friend who is quite familiar with me. She has always inspired me to try adventure activities because I've always been afraid of them.
How did this person help?
She first discovered the cause of my fear, after which she assisted me in getting over it.
Explain why this motivation helps you to achieve the goal.
She actually stated that if I were to learn to swim, I wouldn't ever get the phobia again since it could save my life in an emergency as it is a life-saving skill. I was not feeling active or fit for a while, which was another source of motivation. I was gaining some weight and feeling lethargic. She advised me to enrol in swimming lessons, given that it is one of the best exercises for staying in shape and healthy because it uses every muscle at once.
Conclusion
I was particularly motivated to go swimming by how active she is and how healthy she has remained up to this point.
Describe a person who motivates you Model Answer 2
Introduction
The greatest source of encouragement for anyone is their family. They are the ones who can always be honest and want the best for the family.
Who is this person?
My uncle is one of the people who have greatly motivated me. He is a gentleman who has gone through numerous highs and lows in his life. He has overcome a lot of obstacles, yet he has always kept a bright outlook and a strong attitude towards life.
What does this person motivate you to do?
Many things about him have motivated me, but his dedication to learning has been the most influential. He was unable to consistently attend school because he was raised from a low-income family. Despite this obstacle, he always respected education and saw to it that every child in the family had the best education possible. He frequently emphasised the importance of education and the idea that knowledge is empowerment
How did this person help?
I've learned through his commitment and perseverance that everything is achievable if you set your mind to it. By watching him, I have also grown to understand the value of tenacity and how to get past challenges. I used to ask my uncle for help whenever I was in a challenging circumstance, and he would always give me words of support and encouragement.
Explain why this motivation helps you to achieve the goal.
His unshakable belief in my talents has given me the courage to work towards and accomplish my goals.
Conclusion
I'm grateful that I've had access to people like them throughout my life since they've always pointed me in the correct direction and helped me succeed.
Describe a person who motivates you Model Answer 3
Introduction
Most individuals do require motivation, and if they receive it from an appropriate source at the right moment, they can achieve great things. I have had several people who have motivated me throughout my life.
Who is this person?
Today, I'm going to discuss a person who served as my role model and inspired me to pass my 12th-grade exams. He is, in fact, my father.
What does this person motivate you to do?
In the twelfth grade, I recall being sick quite clearly. My board examinations were approaching, but I was unable to concentrate on my studies at the moment. Additionally, I gave up on the idea of finishing my entire syllabus in a few days.
How did this person help?
Sincerely, I thought about going back to high school next year. My father approached me after learning about this and urged me to pass the exams within the same session. In addition, he helped me divide the curriculum according to my abilities and helped me to study at all hours of the day and night.
Explain why this motivation helps you to achieve the goal.
I had goosebumps after hearing his inspirational comments. Likewise, he related an incident from his school days in which, he went ill in the tenth grade and experiencing similar symptoms like mine, he nonetheless managed to pass the exams by organising his time and energy. I felt motivated by the story to complete my board exams.
Conclusion
To be truthful, I put a lot of effort into my studies and finished third in the group. In a nutshell, I was ecstatic. So that was the time when my father changed me. And since that day, I have never let sickness affect my ability to achieve my target.
IELTS Speaking Part 3- Describe a person who motivates you Follow-up questions.
The following are Follow-up questions to "Describe a person who motivates you." This section of the exam lasts for approximately 4-5 minutes, during which you must explain questions related to a general subject or questions from your cue card.
- Why is it important for teenagers to set goals?
When it comes to discovering one's interests and deciding what to study in college, the teenage period is critical. Thus, it becomes crucial to maintain concentration and establish goals during those years. As teenagers are known to be impulsive and anxious, doing it also helps them redirect their energy. - What will encourage children to learn more?
Interactive games that are both educational and entertaining help children learn more. If they participate in such activities, they usually do so enthusiastically and learn new things. - Do parents and teachers punish children nowadays?
The answer is no; it is not typical for parents or teachers to discipline kids the way they used to a few years ago. Nevertheless, there are certain ways that the parents and teachers make them perform certain tasks, such as by offering them time out or asking them to do certain chores, in order for them to grasp the repercussions of their behaviour. This type of discipline doesn't include physical contact and helps children gain insight into their mistakes more effectively. - Who do you think has a greater influence on the goal-setting of children?
According to me, parents, as well as teachers, have a huge hand in setting goals for children. They can help youngsters realise their potential and create goals because they both have a thorough understanding of their abilities and shortcomings.
