Introduction:

Leisure activities are the stress-busters to any individual. In the recent past, people started inclining towards a leisure activity near or on the sea to become stress-free. Similarly, I went to a beach resort with my office colleagues to escape from the bustling city-life.

What is it?

We did boating, catamaran rides, canoeing and scuba diving during our stay. Each water sport was well-planned and organised.  

What do you need to prepare?

First, we must be mentally prepared to do any water sports. Since indulging in a leisure activity near or on the sea will be fearful yet exciting, we should gain enough courage to do so. Second, we need an overview of the activity and the safety measures given. Then, we need a life jacket just in case. However, there will be experienced swimmers coming along with us.  

How easy or difficult is it?

The boating and catamaran rides were relaxing and had no difficulty. Whereas, canoeing and scuba diving were difficult as they required certain skills. We had to practice swimming a couple of times before getting into the water. Both canoeing and scuba diving were exhaustic, at the same time, breathtaking. So even though it was difficult, it gave us the most memorable experience. 

And explain why you want to try it?

I love water sports, be it anything. I wanted to try it mainly because it is unimaginable to see the world underwater. Since I watch NatGeo, Discovery, and other wildlife channels, I keep thinking about adventurous activities. This trip to a beach resort finally paved the way for experiencing the leisure activity on the sea.

Model Answer 2:

Introduction:

• It is always exciting to have a leisure activity near or on the sea. 
• If you let a child go to a beach, they would run, jump, build their castle, and enjoy the whole time spent near the sea. 
• Today, I’m going to tell you my childhood story about a leisure activity I had with my friends near the sea.

What is it?

• When I was studying 8th grade, I played beach cricket with my friends. We were a team of 7 members, being in good shape. 

What do you need to prepare?

• I had to wake up early at 5 am and went to Marina beach by cycling. 
• I had to carry my cricket kit, a bottle of water, and a jersey.
• After reaching the ground, we had to keep the pitch ready for batting and bowling. 
• We marked the boundary lines and kept some materials to identify them from a distance.
• We tossed the coin and decided the team who was going to bat first. 

How easy or difficult is it?

• Playing cricket with friends isn’t easy. 
• While playing, we had fights in between. 
• We disagreed with the boundary line and fought for more runs.
• However, we settled after the match. 
• We had tea and snacks together and discussed the match over and over.
• Overall, it was a thrilling match with lots of twists and turns.
• I personally felt that playing cricket with friends was difficult because we fought for no reason. 

And explain why you want to try it?

I wanted to try playing beach cricket because I would get to know the conditions while playing near the sea. 

Model Answer 3:

Introduction:

Leisure activities are the best entertainment for young adults. During college semester holidays, students actively participate in any leisure activity near or on the sea. Now, I’m going to share one of my friend’s leisure activity experiences with you that took place on the sea.

What is it?

It was a face-painting competition conducted on a cruise ship where my friend and I participated and won second place. My friend had to paint my face on the given topic. 

What do you need to prepare?

We had to bring the painting tool kit, some water to clean the brush, a dirty cloth, and some glittering articles. 

How easy or difficult is it?

Actually, face painting is easy as well as difficult. For the painter, it is a difficult task as they must generate ideas at the moment and draw them accurately. Whereas for the person who gives their face, has nothing to do but to sit ideally. Since the allocated time is around 10 - 15 minutes, we had to complete the task quickly. If the colour is painted wrongly, it should be corrected immediately. 

And explain why you want to try it?

When we boarded the ship, I waited to do something interesting like playing poker, trying cigars, or participating in some event. Fortunately, they organised a face-painting competition. I wanted to try this leisure activity on the sea because it was my first time participating in an event. My friend and I were excited and discussed some techniques before getting to the topic. In the end, we were happy with second place and celebrated it like never before.

Children like the sea better than adults because they might have seen the ocean only a few times. Near the sea, they can run and play with their family. Whereas, adults might feel bored watching the sea. Adults mostly talk to friends, listen to music or watch videos. 

Q3. What type of job positions can be found near or on the sea?

Near the sea, people may get job positions like coastal guard, ocean protection officer, etc. They can set up a seaside restaurant or any shop. On the sea, adventurous jobs are available. For instance, scuba diving instructor, lifeguard (saving people from drowning), fishing, etc.  

Q4. What is the best leisure activity near or on the sea for adults?

Scuba Diving is the best leisure activity of all on the sea for adults. Since it takes us deep into the water and explores unseen things, it gives an adrenaline rush experience.
