Describe a polite person you know - Model answer 1

Introduction:

    Being polite is one of the greatest qualities, but not everyone has it. I feel being polite is so hard for me, but I have seen it in some people. For being polite they should have some patience, in any situation.    

Who is the person?

   Here, I am going to talk about the polite person who is my friend. We have been in contact for the past 12 years. He was so polite with everyone, even though they irritate him he doesn't get angry or react harshly with them. It doesn't mean that he was calm, he took everything as sportively and moved on from it. Still, if anyone makes him angry, he talks in a polite manner and moves on. 

How do you know him/her?

   As I already said, We have been together for the past 12 years, as best friends. We met each other in class 6. We are still good friends, now we are going to work, but he was the same as when I saw him at school with that same patience and politeness with others. Every staff member in my school and college showed him as an example to other students for how to be polite with staff.

Explain why you think this person is polite?

    There are so many examples to say why I think of him as a polite person. One day in my school there was an issue raised among the students. We are the students of  A section and the other class students came to fight with us for the complaint that we raised with them because they were not disciplined in the annual day function. As a  school pupil leader, he came in front of all  the students and solved the problem before the arrival of staff members. With his politeness, he handled the students with patience. 

Conclusion:

    Being polite is not easy. But, I think I need to learn from him to be polite.

Introduction:

    There are so many teachers in our life, especially we have met some of them in our schools and colleges. And some have special places in our hearts. Basically students love the teacher who was being polite to them. I have one special person who was an English teacher in my 10th class and I am going to talk about her.

Who is the person?

    The person who I saw as a polite one was my English teacher. When I was in my 10th class, Mrs Rajapriya was my favourite teacher. She used to be polite with other staff members. Moreover, she was very polite with students.

How do you know him/her?

    Mrs Rajapriya was our English teacher in my class 10, as you know that class was the stage where every student should be more conscious in their studies. It is the first step for their career. I am so grateful to have her as my teacher, at that stage, as she encouraged me a lot. 

Explain why you think this person is polite?

    She was so polite and soft in nature it doesn't mean that she was careless about their students. To say that every student in my class would get good marks in her subject, he corrects our mistakes politely, she makes us understand the mistake we have made and it helps us to rectify our mistake. Also, she taught us very clearly all the lessons, she did not refuse us to clear our doubts at any time. 

Conclusion:

     At the end of our board exam each and every one has got a 90% mark in our English subject. We thought that the way she taught us with politeness helped us to get that mark. We all have learned that quality also from her.

Introduction:

      We can rarely find a person with this character. They are unique. I have seen this person in my life. It took almost 25 years to meet him. I have seen so many masters in karate journey but he was the one I have seen, who was so polite and soft-spoken.
   
Who is the person?

     Recently I came across a person who was polite and so humble. He belongs to Kerala, his name was Mr.Naren. I think he was 57 years old, but the way he behaved with others was so humble. If he wanted he could be rude with youngsters, but he wasn't. Even to the kids the word he used was very respectful. The tone he used was so soft.

How do you know him/her?

    I saw him at my karate camp, a couple months before I attended the camp. It was a 10 day camp. In only 10 days, I admired his quality, the way he taught us, the stamina he has. All those are just amazing. He taught us all the techniques in a polite way. 

Explain why you think this person is polite?

     I have been learning karate for the past 12 years, I have met so many masters. But, he was the one who had a humble, polite and soft nature. Maybe, I was 30 years younger than him but he treated me respectfully. 

Conclusion:

    I have learned that we should respect every one who is older or younger than me. Some people behave in public places one way and at home in another way. But, he was in the same character in both places. That also I have learned from him.

Introduction:

    There are so many people we have come across, everyone was not in the same character. Each and everyone was different from others, today I am going to talk about the person whom I have seen in my day to day life. 
 
Who is the person?

         The most politeful person that I am seeing daily in life was my father              
 Mr Srinivasan, who never fails to respect his elders, also he is the most kind-hearted man I have ever seen. 

How do you know him/her?

    It’s my father. I feel this is sufficient to answer your question. Everyone in my locality knew him. He gave me a lot of instructions for my good behaviour and my life. Whatever, I say to him he never refuses to hear it. I would like his companion. He is a very talented and well mannered person both in his career and personal life.

Explain why you think this person is polite?

        Almost everyone in my locality knows him very well. Everyone shows my father as an example for how to live politely and humbly with others. I can learn more good manners from him and it will give me new experiences.

Conclusion:

    At the end of the day I used to share my everyday experiences with my father. He rectifies my mistakes and makes me realise what I have done and it is useful to me to correct my mistakes. My wish is to become like my father in the future.

1. Do you think you are a polite person?

      No, I am not a polite person. But, after seeing some polite people who are around me, by seeing them I would also like to change my character to be like them.

 2. How do you show politeness?

    Politeness is not a thing that we can show, it all depends upon the opposite person how they react with us. We can also say that it is like a mirror that reflects 
what the opposite member shows.

3. Do you think politeness is important?

      Yes, politeness is important in our life. It is human nature that one will expect politeness from others but he/she would show, but it is not good manners, firstly we should be polite then we can expect it from others.

4. In your opinion, why is it important to show respect to others?   

       Yes, it is important to show respect to others, if you disrespect others then no one will respect you and they don't care about you. As already said that politeness, humbleness,and respect are like mirrors, what you show will reflect to you.

5. Can you give me some other examples of how people show politeness in your country?  

        People in my country respect others even if they are older or younger, they would not behave harshly and hurt their elders and youngsters. On the bus, youngsters were given their seats for the elder people and pregnants passengers. In schools and colleges students would stand up and give respect when the staff come inside the classroom. Not only in schools and colleges even in their home if any elders would come they stand up from their place and welcome them.

6. Do you think there are any differences between politeness in your country and in the West? OR Do you think politeness is different in different countries and parts of the world?

      No, there is no difference in politeness, it is common. Respecting elders, being polite are common in every country. Also, I have not heard that being polite is different in each country.

7. How can one evaluate other cultures?

      One can evaluate other cultures by talking to them. Also, sharing views can also be one way to evaluate other cultures.  Learning the language, trying new foods also help them to evaluate.

8. What do you think might happen if the nations of the whole world showed respect to other nations?

    If the nations of the whole world showed respect to other nations, then it is the best thing that ever happened. Then, everyone's life would become more beautiful. 

9. How can parents teach their children to be polite? OR How do parents in your country teach their children to be polite?

    Parents should teach their children to be polite by showing an example for it, or should explain to them what are the good and bad of being polite.

10. Can you think of any examples when young children are not very polite?

     Children are not very polite in some places like playgrounds, park. But they are children and we should teach them to be polite with others. Like how to share things,swings etc

11. Do you think there is a certain age when children should be expected to be polite?

    There is no certain age for childrens to be polite, as a parent they should teach them from a young age. But we can forgive them for their silly mistakes and disrespecting elders and for not being polite. At the same we should recorrect their mistakes by advising them.

12. Do you think that everyone in society is aware of what is and isn’t polite behaviour?

    Yes, everyone should be aware of politeness. First as elders we should know what is and isn’t polite behaviour, then we should teach our younger ones.

13. Sometimes there are occasions when the government (or some other authority) wants to remind people about being polite. Can you think of any examples of that?

    Sometimes, the government has to make people be polite and humble in general meeting, national festival.This happens especially on festival times and national festivals.

14. What methods can (or does) the government use to remind people about some aspect of politeness?

    The government used to remind people about some aspects of politeness by taking help from media such as television, radio, newspapers etc.

15. Do you always tell the truth to people?

    No, it is not a compulsion to tell the truth to people always, sometimes we can lie for other happiness but we should make sure that it would not affect anyone. 

16. Do you think people are (or should be) honest all the time when they speak to others?

   It all depends upon the situation, it is not a problem to speak white lies to make them happy if the situation demands it.

17. Do you think telling lies is impolite? OR Are there any times when it might be polite to tell a lie?

    As above said it is not impolite. White lies are not impolite. For example, sometimes we can speak lies with our children to encourage them, like if the drawing they drew was actually not nice but we gave a compliment like that it was so nice, very beautiful. 

18. Who should teach the children about politeness and impoliteness? 

    Obviously both parents and teachers should teach the children about politeness and impoliteness from when they were in the stage of toddler till to the stage of being a preteen.
