Introduction

I think that imagination is the biggest gift that we humans have. Imagination reveals one’s intellectual thoughts and creativity. I used to imagine a lot about the goals I'm planning to achieve and dreaming about. Now, I’m going to describe the time that I used my imagination when I participated in a painting competition.

When was it?

It was back in my school days, when I was in 8th class, there was a painting competition held. I was on leave on the day when it was announced and the interested students’ names were noted. I was totally unaware of the competition till that day.

When did you need to use imagination?

I decided to participate in the painting competition even without preparation as I have a great interest in art. Thus I gave my name a few hours before the competition was about to start. And in the meantime, I started imagining the concepts and painting ideas.

How difficult or easy it was?

I didn't do any painting practice and I actually didn't have the painting requirements handy. But I had the urge to participate in the competition and the confidence that I will be able to perform well. I borrowed some of the requirements from my teachers and other classmates. And, I finally decided to do night Taj Mahal painting.

Explain how you felt about it.

Few weeks before the painting competition, I visited the Taj Mahal. I was stunned by seeing the architecture. But, I never saw it at night time. So, I imagined the beauty of Taj Mahal at night and painted it. It was the greatest experience that I ever had as I previously did the paintings by seeing the pictures of the buildings. However, it came out well with just limited painting requirements.

Conclusion

Within a given time period of 1 hour and with limited resources I have completed my painting. My classmates and teachers appreciated my imagination and the output of the painting. This painting competition was the unforgettable day in my life and also I received a prize for the painting.

Model Answer 2

Introduction

I love to create a world in imagination with the persons, animals, things, elements, and everything I liked and wanted. Imagining scenarios is a part of my life. Here I would like to describe the scenario I imagined when I was asked to make a speech.

When was it?

It was in 12th grade, there was a speech competition where the students were asked to talk about some topic on the spot. I was so excited to participate in the competition so I registered my name.

When did you need to use imagination?

The speech competition was held on Independence Day where every student was given a topic related to the leaders. When my time arrived, I went on the stage and the topic given to me was to speak about the meeting I had with any of the political leaders. I used my imagination and described the imaginary meeting with the President. I had a conversation with him for several minutes and at the end of the conversation he presented me with a book as a gift with his signature.

How difficult or easy it was?

I have participated in many competitions in my school but those will be a pre-prepared one. As this speech competition was on-spot, at the beginning I was quite nervous about what topic I’m about to get. But, once I stepped on stage, I concentrated on the topic given and imagined the scenario quickly.

Explain how you felt about it.

I was extremely happy for the applause I received and also I received first prize for the speech competition. Judge appreciated the spot creativity and the imagination I had.
