Introduction:

People who listen to songs will like a particular singer subconsciously. Sometimes, they listen to their songs in repeat mode and experience mesmerism. Now I'd like to talk about a singer who's been my favourite since childhood. 

Who this singer is?

My favourite singer is Shreya Ghoshal, one of the popular Indian female playback singers. She is renowned for her wide vocal range and versatility. I’m always fond of her voice and feel elated listening to her songs. For her remarkable vocal expressions, she received several awards like Filmfare, IIFA, National award, Mirchi Music and more.

How do you know this singer?

Years back, I watched the Tamil movie 7G rainbow colony in which all the songs were composed by my favourite music director Yuvan shankar raja. I used to listen to all of the songs from the movie. Later I discovered the female version of one song that is performed by Shreya Goshal and that’s when I came to know about her.

What is this person like? Why do you think he/she is good?

I really admire her singing capability, she is one of the versatile singers in the industry. Be it songs in Hindi or in Tamil, she makes people melt with her voice. Even though her native language is not Tamil, her pronunciation and clarity is far better than many of the singers. 

Conclusion

Thus, Shreya Ghoshal's soulful and pitch-perfect voice gives me goosebumps. Perhaps her hard work and consistent performance in all songs have made her my favourite singer.

Who this singer is?

As a melophile, I love to explore various genres of music. The singer I’m going to talk about is Arijit Singh who sings songs in Hindi, Urdu, Bengali and even in Tamil.

How do you know this singer?

Back in 2013 when the movie Aashiqui 2 was released, I used to hear the Tum hi ho song a number of times. That’s the song that made me listen to every song of Arijit singh. There are many songs in my list, top favourites are from the movie Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and the list goes on.

What is this person like?

He is a simple, humble and generous person. Though he has celebrity status, he doesn’t seek special treatments. He was a part of an NGO that helps poor kids.

Why do you think he/she is good?

As a singer, Arijit singh has a mesmerising voice which attracts me as a person who loves songs and music. And also as a person, he is down to earth. I remember the scenario which was described by my friend. He was at a concert of Arijit Singh and like all the followers, my friend waited to click a picture with him. Once he came near the car, the crowd gathered and the bouncers were pushing all of the people. After all this, he somehow managed to get into his car but instead of getting in, he stepped up, told the bouncers to stay calm and addressed those fans. This made me look into his more as a person also than a singer.

Conclusion

Undoubtedly, my favorite singer is Arijit Singh as I love him as a singer and respect him as a person.

Who this singer is?

I would say that music and songs are my partners. My playlist will be filled with the categories of songs based on the singers rather than the shuffled list of songs. I’m now going to describe the actor cum singer Amrinder Gill.

How do you know this singer?

I knew Amrinder Gill as an actor and watched a few of his films. I used to discuss more about the films, songs, lyrics, music with my friends. In a casual conversation with my friend I found out that he is a singer too. And surprisingly I’ve heard and loved many of his songs and some of them are in my top list. That’s the point I’ve started knowing more about him and his activities.

What is this person like? Why do you think he/she is good?

I usually used to admire the people who were exploring different interests and being successful in all of those. Balancing everything in life is not that easy, we normally used to restrict ourselves with just one thing which is comfortable. I never want to be like that, thus I look into those kinds of people. In that way, Amrinder Gill is an actor, singer, song writer, and producer. I heard that he used to donate the money to the needy which he gets by performing in stage shows and some events. These characteristics also made me admire him a lot.

Conclusion

On the whole, a singer who is my favorite is Amrinder Gill.

Yes, in our country we give equal importance to singers as we give to actors, politicians and others. Songs are one of the traditional cultural expressions in our country. There are many rituals, ceremonies in which songs play a major role. 

2. Do you think celebrities have a lot of income?

It’s obvious that celebrities earn a lot of money by entertaining the people with their talent and skills and by sacrificing their private space.

3. In your country, do people prefer to listen to traditional music or foreign music?

In my country, people listen to both traditional and foriegn music. But the majority of young people prefer foreign music over traditional music and the adults used to listen to traditional music more.

4. Do you prefer live performances?

Yes, I do prefer visiting live performances. Live performances will be a great relaxing factor for a music lover like me. And, it also gives a chance to see my favorite people's interactions lively and can get a photograph or autograph with them.

5. What do you think about the role of singers on the national level?

I think national level singers need to select the song theme and lyrics carefully as there are many chances that young people can get influenced by. So, it is their responsibility to make it entertaining without any negative impact.
