Introduction: 

Technologies have played a major role in our households which makes our work easier and saves time. With  the help of automatic machines, now I am going to talk about the vacuum cleaner equipment  which I use often in my home. 

What do you use it for?                                                                                                                                           Vacuum cleaners are majorly used to remove the dust and dirt from the floors(hardwood, laminated floors), and carpets. Vacuum cleaners are not only used to clean floors and carpets they are also used to clean cars and stairs, not only in house vacuum cleaners are also used in offices, hospitality industry  etc.

How often do you use it?                                             

My mom was very conscious of cleaning our home, also she loves to clean our rooms.Cleanses are very important for the home when newborns are in the house. So, she uses it often, nearly 3 to 4 times a day. 

How  did you get it(or, who bought it)?                     

One of my uncles presented this vacuum to my mom. He is Mr Ramesh, my mom's second younger brother. My mom always says that he is like a first son to her and he is very close to her heart.  He presented that on mothers day. My mom was so happy with that gift.    

Explain why you think this thing is useful?                 

A vacuum cleaner is very useful as it saves a lot of time for cleaning. My mom uses a vacuum cleaner when she is running out of time or asks me to use it, and when I clean the home with the vacuum cleaner, it appears neat and clean without the need for extra effort.

Conclusion:

My mom was very happy with the gift which was presented by my uncle. It is a very useful thing. It is not that expensive, it is a common equipment that every one can use at home. Also it is available at an affordable price.

Introduction: 

In this busy world people prefer to make their work easier, so they were in search of different equipment. Even people were searching for equipment to make food. Some had a maid and some did it by themselves. Most of the homemakers are feeling difficulties in vessel washing. It makes them spend their whole time in the kitchen. To avoid it, a machine was invented for vessel washing. Now I am going to talk about the vessel washer in my hime and how it helps us.

What do you use for it?

Here Iam going to talk about the equipment which is in my home and how it is useful for us. Vessel washers make our work easier as well as save our time. Our cook made only food for us.. We need to wash our vessels by ourselves. At that time it helped us very much.

How often do you use it?

    At least 3 times a day we use it, every day our cook makes food only. She won't wash the vessels. It is the only equipment that we use often in a day. I think this equipment helps us very much. 

How did you get it (or,who bought it)?   

We were three in number and we took a separate home for rent and we shared it. We bought vessel washers by ourselves by sharing the amount. When we got our first salary, we desired to buy it to reduce our work at home, because all the household work has to be done by ourselves, we arranged a maid only for cooking.

 Explain why you think this thing is useful?    

 I think it is very useful for us, especially it helped us during the pandemic period. During this lockdown period all of us we all worked from home, during that time we three also did our work from home due to that we don't have time any to do all other works in home, so we kept a cook to make our food, once she cooked food she move on and we alone want to wash the vessels. At that time it helps us very much.

Conclusion:  

Some technologies are really very helpful for people like this vessel washer. Sometimes working people don’t have time to do household work, they prefer to take rest in their free time. So people prefer this equipment to help them.

Describe an equipment that you use at home - Model answer 3

Introduction:   

“Don’t judge a book by its cover” is only for proverbs but in the practical world people judge others with their outer look like how they dressed up. If a poor person is dressed up well then he welcomes more but even if a rich person is not dressed up well he will not be welcomed. So the dress matters mainly nowadays. I am going to talk about an invention which washes our clothes. 

What do you use for it?   

Today I am  going to talk about the equipment that we use in our home, which is the washing machine. Yes, this helps my mom very much. She was not able to work as much as in the past because she is getting older.  Also she was not able to work for a long time. Thus, it becomes an important tool for us. 

How often do you use it?

She uses the washing machine everyday. Sometimes, she uses 2 times a day to wash both clothes which I wear on a daily basis and others I wore for some occasions. 

How did you get it (or, who bought it)?   

My father bought it for my mother to give her some rest from washing the clothes. During diwali time there was an offer for household products in the shop which is near to my home. At that time he brought it, with his diwali bonus. Also he bought some other household products for mom. 

Explain why you think this thing is useful? 

The concept of washing machine is pretty simple, we don't need to strain to remove the dirt and stains. It is a machine which removes any dirt and stains by itself, just we have to add some detergent powder and on the switch atlast we need to drain it. It makes work easier.

Conclusion: 
 
Not only for aged people it is also very helpful to hospitalised people, youngsters who are staying at PG for job or for studies. It is not that  difficult to operate even an illiterate person can also operate once he/she learned it.

Describe an equipment that you use at home - Model answer 4

 Introduction:  

Technologies have improved very much, there is a miniature for every household equipment, which we can carry anywhere in our bags like wireless. It makes life easier for people.  Now I am going to talk about the product which is the miniature version of speakers.

What do you use for it?   

The equipment that I often use at home is bluetooth speakers, whenever I am sitting alone in my home I used to hear songs through bluetooth speakers with high volume. I love to hear songs. There are no particular songs that I listen to, I hear all types of songs devotional, melody, folk etc.

How often do you use it? 

Most of the time I spend time in my room alone. As of now I am at home after completing my studies.  So for the maximum in a day I spend all my time in my room, I have a branded bluetooth speaker with which I connect my mobile phone and hear songs. Hearing songs helps me to relax.

How did you get it (or,who bought it)?  

One of my friends gave it to me on my birthday. They know  that I love to hear songs. Before that I have a local brand bluetooth speaker which has low quality sound effects. Often I used to share with them that I want to buy another bluetooth speaker because they gave it to me on my birthday.

Explain why you think this thing is useful?

 By using it I hear songs, songs help me to relax. At that time I used to listen to songs. Sometimes I dance in my room. Songs can change our mind. Sometimes  even my mom used to hear old songs when she was working at home.

Conclusion:

There is a difference between the sounds from phone speakers and bluetooth speakers. It has more sound effects. It changes our mood and helps us to be more positive.

Describe an equipment that you use at home - IELTS speaking part 3 follow up questions

This IELTS speaking test Part 3 where a candidate is asked to respond to follow up questions. Part 3 was conducted for about 4-5 minutes. In this task, you will have a longer discussion about the topic given. There some follow up questions were given for the topic describe an equipment that you use at home.

1. How do you think modern technology has changed the way we work (compared to the past)?

Modern technology has changed many things in our lifestyle. In past all the equipments are bigger which we can use only in the spacious place where we kept it but now it was more advance which we can carry anywhere and any place wherever we go.

2. Do you think that operating equipment at work can ever have some bad effect on the body?

Yes of course, operating equipment may cause accidents to the person who has not trained well to handle it. Sometimes even a well trained person can also meet with an accident with the operating equipment, also with those equipment people have to be aware of their children by avoiding them touching it.

3. Do you think it’s important for employees (in-industry) to be trained to use the equipment at work?

Yes it is very important for employees to be trained with equipment at work. Otherwise it is very dangerous.

4. Do you agree that older people have difficulties in using (advanced) modern equipment? How can we help elderly people to use these modern devices?

Not every older person has difficulties in using modern equipment. If they are educated person, they learned easily when we taught them

5. Are there any disadvantages of using modern equipment too much in the home?

Yes there are some disadvantages, though it helps them to make their work easier, it is good by doing our work by ourselves but it makes them lazy too. They forget to  interact with family members. They are always dependent on it. It makes them forget how to do that work.

6. What are the effects of  using electronic equipment?

Most of the equipment is run on electricity or gas. It increases greenhouse gases within the atmosphere. Also it consumes more electricity that you need to pay every month, so we should be safe with children while using it.
