Model Sample Answer 1 Band 8 - Animals are in danger of extinction. Some people say we should protect only those animals which are useful to humans. Do you agree or disagree?
Extinction is a real danger for many species of animals. Some people think we only have an obligation to save the species that directly benefit humanity. This is an opinion with which I strongly disagree, as I think it is unproductive to prioritize human needs over animal welfare when working to protect endangered species.
It is essential that individuals take action to save threatened animals because human activity is the primary cause of their extinction. Usually mentioned as an illustration of this is the occurrence of overpopulation. Over the past few decades, people have continuously expanded their urban areas and exploited natural resources, resulting in a shortage of habitats for many species. We shouldn't be so brutal and cruel as to steal their homes, utilize their bodies for our sustenance, and wear their skins as fashion accessories. Every living thing on Earth, including humans, deserves to be happy; this includes not making ourselves the special exception when it comes to deciding the fate of other animals.
In addition, attempting to keep certain non-human organisms at a distance can have unexpected and perhaps catastrophic effects on the ecosystem as a whole. All species are essential to the maintenance of a balanced ecosystem. If we just help the creatures who are proportionally more useful to us, we risk disrupting the food chain, which could lead to an increase in the population of certain animals and a reduction in the population of others. If we work to preserve a species of predator whose population is on the rise, for instance, the population of specific herbivores may decline sharply, leaving the predator starving.
To sum up, I think we should prioritize saving the lives of all endangered creatures over saving the lives of those that could help us the most.

Model Sample Answer 2 Band 7.5 - Animals are in danger of extinction. Some people say we should protect only those animals which are useful to humans. Do you agree or disagree?
Human survival depends on animals. Many animal species are threatened with extinction because of uncontrolled and extensive hunting for selfish purposes like house decor, entertainment, etc. Steps must be implemented to ensure the safety of animals.
To begin, with a growing human population comes a greater need for wood to build homes and grow crops. The destruction of nature's environment poses a threat to animals. Animals play a crucial role in determining the overall pattern of the food web. If one link in the chain is broken, the entire system could collapse. Some birds and bees, for instance, play a crucial role in cross-pollination, which would be required for plant growth. Several measures can be taken for the animals' safety. The government must first educate the public on the importance of animals in society. As a result, they'll earn the respect of their fellow community members.
Some animals are killed for the purpose of using it in art, medicine, and other. As an example, tigers are targeted for their skins. Therefore, preventing animal cruelty is crucial. The government should pass strong legislation punishing illegal hunters. To ensure that no person tries to cut down trees to make room for a subdivision or industrial complex, the plan must also outline the minimum amount of forest cover that is acceptable.
In conclusion, animals play a crucial role in people's daily lives, serving as sources of food, entertainment, and sometimes even income. Consequently, we need to join together to ensure they don't go extinct. The problem should be made public, and strict regulations should be put in place to penalize offenders.

Model Sample Answer 3 Band 7 - Animals are in danger of extinction. Some people say we should protect only those animals which are useful to humans. Do you agree or disagree?
Every creature on earth, including humans, participates in the environmental cycle. Some people indeed argue that we must only rescue animals that are beneficial to humans in their daily lives. But, I disagree with this statement because other species are also essential for maintaining the natural balance.
Humans depend on creatures such as cows and buffalo among others. However, wildlife is part of the environment. In the environment cycle, all species are interdependent in a certain manner. We are aware that deer eat grass and trees, which produce food for fish. After a snake dies, its body decomposes and combines with the earth's soil. This produces fertilizer, which is beneficial for grass growth, and it is a recurring process that begins with grass. In this process, many other creatures, including wild animals, are crucial for maintaining the stability of nature. Moreover, keeping all animals safe will also benefit humans in another manner. For example, there have been several incidents in which wild creatures such as tigers and elephants have emerged from the forest and are attacking humans as a food source. This is occurring because then they cannot locate food in the forest. Therefore, if we safeguard all the animals in the world, we can solve these problems.
Conversely, there are certain disadvantages to protecting an excessive number of animals. If the quantity of forest animals exceeds what is necessary, they may leave the bush and hunt the residents of human settlements. Therefore, it is intolerable for animal populations to fluctuate. Otherwise, the cycle of nature becomes unstable.
To summarize, humans are responsible for protecting all animals around the globe. Which can maintain the balance of nature.

Model Sample Answer 4 Band 6.5 - Animals are in danger of extinction. Some people say we should protect only those animals which are useful to humans. Do you agree or disagree?
Numerous animal species are today endangered with extinction as a result of urbanization and rising human civilization, this is without dispute. While some people feel that all animal species should be preserved, others say that only valuable species should be saved and preserved. I disagree that we should only protect beneficial species, and I will elaborate on this viewpoint in this essay.
The environment has created all flora and wildlife as equals, and we all play a direct or indirect part in each other's survival. Humankind's fast urbanization and population growth pose the greatest threats to the survival of these endangered species. Pigeons, for instance, wreak havoc in cities by building their nests and spreading filthy faeces everywhere. Second, they are not particularly beneficial to most of the world's population, save in a few nations where they are used as food. However, we people have damaged their tree and plant environment, prompting them to seek shelter in our homes and buildings.
Even though they are not beneficial to people, many creatures are essential to the organic food chain. Hence, excluding them from the food chain can result in numerous unanticipated complications. For instance, reptiles are not immediately valuable to people, but they perform a crucial role in regulating the growth of microscopic insects by eating them. Therefore, we must not disrupt this whole food chain and conserve all animals.
In conclusion, even though many animals may be useless to humans, I believe we must preserve and protect all animals and plants. As the most intellectual species on the planet, it is also our fundamental duty to safeguard them.
